The Select Plan includes CNN & MSNBC - BOTH in standard & HD, plus HLN & BBC. BUT FOX NEWS IS NOT. WHY NOT? IS VERIZON THAT LIBERAL?
Verizon may or may not be liberal. But I suspect the plan lineups are based on the desire to maximize revenue. With a horde of bean counters creating the lineups that achieve that goal.
You wanted the CHEAP package and all those crappy liberal news channels still cost less then what Verizon must pay for Fox News. I am serious, not joking. Complain to FOX for charging so much for their channel or for having such higher ratings then all the other new channels combined.

To get Fox news in the package I believe Fox requires a bunch of other Fox channels to also be included. So its not in the low tier Select plan.

What, no one remembers how much VZ had to pay for that sports channel Fox has? At any rate, Fox has one of the HIGHEST subscriber rates in the business...not surprising considering their agenda. Their viewers are also the least-mixed (or balanced) out of all the cable news channels. It is primarily a certain demographic that watches that channel...so if you want it, you should pay more for it. Fox expects it of you.

Its money. Because of the number of channels required, its more expensive than Verizon wants to include. The previously mentioned other channels are cheap and some even free.

FOX News can charge more to carry because people actually watch their programs. MSNBC & CNN not so much.

I'll make a deal with you, give me a free ride on my $200 per month FiOS bill and my $135 per month Verizon Wireless bill and I will never post another message about The Blaze TV again.
I'm not interested in viewing programs on Al Jazeera America or Playboy TV.
