Once again the TV listings provided both on the STBs and online at Fios TV Central are incorrect. This is a MAJOR ISSUE for Verizon and whom ever is their guide provider and has been ignored much too long. The entire funcitonality of the DVR system relies on correct guide information to schedule and record those progams. If a program is listed incorrectly in terms of day, time, new or repeat or if it is totally missing from the schedule, then the customer is left with crippled functionality in a product they are paying for on a monthly basis.
Specifically, June 8th on Discovery channel at 10 PM EDT the first episode of the new season of Flying Wild: Alaska premiers; but the guide shows a repeat of Bering Sea Gold. It has been advertised now for a long time at the time and date. So you can't blame the network for providing incorrect data. Given that the online guide prominently features the TV Guide logo, I checked their website and they show the correct data for that day and time. So if TV Guide is truly the "partner aggregator" that supplies the guide infromation to Verizon FiOS TV, then there has to be a major disconnect in obtaining and updating data as it changes.
If you search the guide specifically for the Flying Wild: Alaska program you will find on that date it correctly lists the repeat episodes airing in the morning, but not the new season premier that night at 10PM.
FYI,
I rebooted every STB in my home to force a refressh of data, even though I figured that since the FiOS TV Central guide is also incorrect it was a futile exercise.
HD DVR STB: QIP6416
SD STBs: QIP2500

if the website is incorrect too, then yeah rebooting will not help.
if the website is correct and your stb is incorrect, then a reboot may help (even having to go so far as rebooting the router)
FYI Television is verizon's guide provider, they have contact info on their website for stuff like this, so maybe email them.

No shocker there. Verizon has always had problems with their guide and they could care less about the fact that more and more problems continue to pop up every single day. FYI is a company that could help but with all of the problems that exist with the guide ONLY verizon can get these problems fixed for everyone who has them (which is everyone). From the channels themselves to the guide provider to verizon you pretty much are on your own to try to get these problems corrected while the company could care less about fixing those problems. If someone is so naive to believe that these guide issues will simply go away on its own they are just as clueless as verizon is when it comes to what is going on with their guide that has had the same exact wrong data that goes back a very long time. If you google "FYI Television Sucks" you will see how long people have been complaining about FYI being completely inept when it comes to doing their job. For at least six years according to that thread people have been complaining about how much they hate verizon's guide provider FYI which is located in grand prairie texas.

Yes!!! Still have not received an answer nor do I feel that I will. Verizon Suppport is not doing a good job with this at all and from what I have read it has been an on going issue with their tv online website as well as an on going issue not to get back to people to at least explain if they are working on it

JUst this morning on channell 230 Strangers was playing , only problem, The movie playing was STRANGER, The guide is usually incorrect 2 or 3 times dailey. Never had this problem with Time warner or Direct tv, Before eveyone tells me to go back to Dircttv or Time warner, Im moving soon ,will check who is the provider, and seek one that has a guide that makes sense. While im complaining, Ever since tha last upgrade whwn i touch certain buttons like the dvr, options , and a few others a screen pops up trying to sell me movies , internet upgrades etc.
