Suggest Channels to Add to Fios TV

Hello All,

I've seen quite a few threads and posts floating around suggesting various channels/programs you would like to see on FiOS TV.  In an effort to consolidate the information, I have decided to create this single thread about the subject.  Feel free to reply to it with your suggestion(s) on what you would like to see on FiOS TV.

Please note:  I make no promises as to whether or not you will see these channels/programs on FiOS TV.  Though I do know that the right people here at Verizon are looking at this thread for your feedback and advice on the matter.

There are a lot of us out here who are anxiously waiting for Fox Soccer Channel and FSC+ in HD, especially now that we all see the HD Live logo in the corner of the screen during each game.  Please give us FSC HD and FSC+ HD soon. The wait is killin' us.

I am echoing request for:

 Fox Soccer Channel HD

 Fox Soccer Channel Plus HD

called service rep two weeks ago and the answer was "it is not verizon; it is Fox". I am not sure that is the right answer. Reports are that Dish Networks already carries it.

Yes, and right now, DISH is the ONLY one carrying it.  Why do you think that is?   Answer: The service rep already told you.

Please add the Big 12 Network to your available programming.  You currently offer the Big 10 Network and this would be a great addition.

The Big 12 Network is not a full-time network like the Big 10 Network.  It is just a group of regional TV stations that carry Big 12 games.

Please add the following HD channels:

- Fox Soccer Channel HD (FSC HD)

- BBC HD

- Gol TV HD

Please, the world cup 2010 is coming in June and we want to see all the games, specially the USA games, in high quality; even when they show the highlights on FSC and BBC

There have been hundreds of requests posted for certain channels to be added but I have yet to see a response from a moderator. I haven't read all of the responses so I may have missed them..

The moderators's responsibilities lie soley with the operation of the forum. We do not have access to information regarding programming, services, etc.

However, Verizon administrators do read this thread, and have taken note of the requests.

how about adding the local channels from Philly for those in Middlesex County who live less than 2 miles from Mercer County (Philly's DMA), how about removing the public access channels from Mercer County if they don't pertain to me and how about adding FiOS1 news.... how about explaining to me why, since customer service or your video tech support can't, as to why i'm on VHO 08 but get the VHO 07 channel line up.

Once our street is hooked up I would strongly consider switching from Comcast to FiOS if they were to add the Philadelphia locals to the FiOS here in South Brunswick and Southern Middlesex County. We get them all on Comcast but only WHYY (PBS) is in HD and with Comcast and it's limited bandwidth I am not sure we will ever get the rest in HD. So if FiOS could give us WPVI,WCAU, KYW,WTXF, WPSG and WPHL in HD along with WHYY it would be an upgrade.
