Hello All,
I've seen quite a few threads and posts floating around suggesting various channels/programs you would like to see on FiOS TV. In an effort to consolidate the information, I have decided to create this single thread about the subject. Feel free to reply to it with your suggestion(s) on what you would like to see on FiOS TV.
Please note: I make no promises as to whether or not you will see these channels/programs on FiOS TV. Though I do know that the right people here at Verizon are looking at this thread for your feedback and advice on the matter.
Regards,

When I first got Verizon Fios I was happy with the many channels I had. I was especially happy with Retro TV channel, I was able to watch shows I grew up watching, Kojak, Quincy, Emergency One etc. But without notice it just dissappeared. It would be nice to have that channel again. Also would like to see BET and TVOne on HD
It is not Verizon. RTN had financial troubles and sold out. Read the details here on Wiki.

Oh I also expect that Verizon will at some time have an increase in HD channels available. They are trying to increase their pricing stucture to pay for it. It is plain to see. After converting Premier to HD Extreme and acutally adding many channels at no additional cost, I am sure they are attempting to recover.

I have switched to FIOS from Cablevision and am happy with change. The one channel that Cablevision (and Time Warner)
had that I miss is CUNY channel (channel 75). This should not be an expensive channel to pick up, and would give subscribers access to rare movies and other entertainment, and current events.

People that want MSG HD, thank cable co. greed! They are the ones that are owners of MSG and they do not want to play far.

Regards,
Verizon months ago applied to the FCC about receiving MSG. Contact the FCC about this issue.
I would like to see all local Fox Sports Net, MSG, Comcast and all other local sports nets available to all regions on Fios.
Alot of us are transplants from other regions and would like to see all regional sports.
at&t, Directv, Dish, and alot of local cable companies have this available to their customers, i would like to see Verizon have it also.
I would like to see these channels in HD.
DIY Network
RFD
GAC
truTv
Crime
CBS College Sports
All sports packages such as MLB Extra Innings in HD

No offense intended, but...while soccer may be popular in the rest of the world, Verizon services the U.S. (and only a few parts of it at that!). As such, it's popularity in the States is relatively minor. That said, I'm sure Verizon will add it at some point. But remember, except for one carrier (DISH, I think) right now NO ONE else is carry FSC-HD either. Oddly enough, I don't see Cablevision, Comcast, etc., being flooded with requests for it..
That is not to say that it shouldn't be added. But right now, space is limited. And there are numerous other channels that have been around much longer than FSC-HD that many are still waiting for. Fox is known for charging a lot of money for channels. Going by a listing someone else posted, the Fox Sports Network is the second-most expensive channel carried. One wonders...how much extra would soccer fans be willing to pay for FSC-HD?I

Please add MLB Extra Innings HD2. For $199 a season, I think it is reasonable to expect Verizon to carry both of the two HD channels provided by In-Demand.

I cannot agree more! If we are going to pay for a premium service why not have that service in HD. All other providers have almost all of the games in HD if the channel is carried in HD, let us have it in HD Verizon!

Could you please add BBC America HD? BBC America HD was announced June/July 2009, and it has almost been a year since. The new Doctor Who season is about to begin and I would love to see it in HD as well as a lot of the other programs that are on BBC America, like Top Gear. Verizon, please hurry!

SPT Seabra Portuguese Television. They broadcast soccer games from overseas. I can't tell you how many people don't leave Comcast and Optimum, because of this channel.

Dish Network has an excellent international channels, packages, and prices. For example, there are two Chinese Packages for $32.99 for 22 Chinese channels from China, and $39.99 for 16 Taiwanese channels. Dish Network has a better free international channels that is included at no extra charge that people want to watch. Can Verizon provide channels like Link TV, Colours TV, and KBS World (in English)? If you can I will stay with Verizon. Thank you.

Please add Fox Soccer Channel in HD. It appears that Comcast and DirectTV both offer this as an option. Not sure why Verizon doesn't.

I was told that the "right people" see this post, but I'm not sure I believe that. I see many repeated requests for BBC America, Fox Soccer Channel, History International and other channels to be added in HD and yet Verizon does nothing to honor the requests of their customers. Meanwhile, Direct TV, Comcast and Dish Network already offer these channels and many more in HD. I left Direct TV to get FIOS. If Verizon does not wake up and realize that they need to serve their customers quickly I will be going back to Direct TV by the end of spring. I still have the dish mounted to my roof so it will be and easy transition. I hope the "right people" see this.

Again and still! PLEASE add FSC HD! For the millions of soccer fans in the US this is almost the ONLY channel that matters! Does any moedrator review this listing?
On a separate note, can FiOS please add the local alternative digital channels to the locals packages? Like our local PBS affiliate has four or sometimes FIVE channels Over-the Air (26.1, 26.2, 26.3, etc.). Most of the other local major network stations also have two or three such digital channels. ALL of these should part of any "Local Channels" package we are paying for.

BBC America
MASN2 HD (every other cable system in the DC area provides this channel so you can watch all the Orioles/Nationals games in HD. FIOS is a major sponsor or MASN's baseball coverage, but doesn't carry all the games in HD. Pretty embarrassing Verizon!)
