I want to add t a Linksys router and connect it to the ONT Ethernet Hub (Router does not have a coax port). The Actiontec router would remain connected via coax. I cannot connect the Linksys router to an Actiontec ethernet LAN port because they will be in different areas.
I have configured the Linksys router for a Static IP Address (192.168.1.2) and turned off DHCP. I have also configured the Actiontec router Start IP Address at 192.168.1.3.
I cannot not get it to work, can someone help?
Thanks

Suggest you try searching the Internet for "actiontec router setup fios" and you'll find instruction, including the first hit I got with Bing: http://data.agaric.com/how-setup-linksys-router-verizon-fios.

PJL, thank you for the reply , the referenced link has a !WARNING! that following these instructions will disable your Verizon TV service. I want to maintain my Verizon TV service AND add the Linksys router.
Thanks

The warning in the link I gave you refers to only VOD and Widget-like settings, not "TV service." But there is a also thread at http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r21120487-FIOS-TV-Central-website-access-with-Non-AT-Router- that discusses using various router configurations, some of which maintain full FiOS functionality, including VOD, remote DVR, and Widgets. It's very long, but if you're patient you may find a workable configuration described in the posts.

I reviewed the referenced link and the connection diagram for the routers was noted as:
ONT->cat5->[WAN Port-Buffalo-LAN Port]->Cat5->[Lan Port- ActionTec]
I need to locate my routers in separate areas of my home and do not have interior cat5 wiring. I am only able to run cat5 from the ONT to a nearby router. My connection diagram would need to look like this:
ONT->cat5-> [Linksys]
ONT->coax->[Actiontec]
PJL, thanks for trying, but I believe spacedebris is correct., it can't be done.
Thanks

You cant get it to work because when the coax port is set up for internet, the ethernet port on the ONT is disabled. Plus only one router can be connected to the ONT at any time. You would have to connect your second router to the Verizon router. Router to router is the only way you can get a second router into the Verizon system.
