I just heard that we may lose ABC, Freeform and Disney channels. Most of what I watch live is on ABC, both news and entertainment. I'll be switching providers if we lose ABC.

Don't forget that also includes ESPN. If they fail to come to an agreement, all ABC/Disney and ESPN channels are going off. Considering the sheer number of channels that would be lost and the fact that they regularly 'advertise' ESPN as a fundamental part of their plans, if this happens, I'm leaving the service after 7 years. I was all but forced to sign a new two year agreement or pay a jacked up month to month bill... drop ESPN and ABC/Disney and I drop Verizon based on advertising fraudulent service.

We will switch if this happens. Tired of paying more and more for less and less.

I agree with you - I just had the same expereince with having to sign a new contract. I watch ABC a lot, its crazy that we have to keep losing channels. I dont want to have to break the contract and pay $$ but I will.

I also watch ABC almost exclusively and will most likely look for a new provider, if Verizon cuts access to the Disney owned channels.

Well put.
Couldn't agree more. Verizon's customer service is horrible, their hardware is outdated, and they continue to drop channels I pay for. When i called them out on that, they couuldn't believe anyone would contemplate asking them to reduce rates for reduced service.
This one is a deal breaker. Been researching cutting the cord all together. This makes it much easier. I can get my local affiliates w/ an HD antenna and ESPN on Sling.
No brainer to drop verizon, even if they pony up and save the disney channel line up.

Verizon working on new deals with Disney and ESPN. If you ESPN for the bowl games, see ya FIOS. Xfinity will get lots of new customers.

As far as I am concerned, I hope they drop ESPN and all the sports channels associated with it. Why should I pay for stations that I do not watch at all!

do you think they will lower costs if they drop ESPN?

No. I expect Verizon to claim that the value of the channels available to customers is worth the price customers are paying.....even with the removal of ESPN/Disney channels.
Which of course nobody believes (outside of Verizon employees) especially since Verizon has already noted how much Disney wants

I've been a suscriber to Verizon since it was first offered here in my neighborhood - first persosn to have it installed! I was POd whenyou dropped The Weather Channel butnow if you drop ABD local affiliate plus ESPN because of Disney dispute I ;ll switch to Xfinity as fast as they can come out to connect us! Shame on you Verizon! Your service is expensive, you are making tons of cash - now make a deal or you will loose viewers not just me!

This is totally money generated. We pay so much for cable and continue to get less and less. Drop Disney. They make money hand over fist. As well as all the cable providers. Even if you do not watch sports, someday you will be affected by a favorite station being dropped over money.

I understand the negotiations process but this needs to be resolved. I will change providers if Fios is unable to provide ESPN, 6abc, etc. It is your obligation, Verizon, to provide the promised product to your customers. We have options if you cannot. No indication that the loss of these networks was a possibility when options for renewal were made. Thank you.
