Today (2/28/17) host station WJLA (Washington, DC) suddenly and unceremoniously dumped Me-TV, one of our most favorite channels on Fios. Is there any way Verizon can grab the Me-TV feed from WWBT in nearby Richmond, VA?

No.
These channels are sub channels of the main (like wjla).
As Verizon doesn't have contracts from them for your area, there is nothing they can do.
Your best bet is to complain to wjla about them dropping me TV.

Fox5 WTTG 5.1 is now carying MeTV on their 5.3 sub-channel. So it seems to me Verizion can get it from there. They might even be legally required to carry all the local broadcast channel's sub-channels (just guessing).

It depends on their contract with WTTG.
Local channels have the optioon of must carry (which cable providers do for free) or ask for pay and negotiate.
I am guessing that WTTG is big enough to be in the pay option.
So Verizon has to negotiate the price. There are two sets of costs for a channel.
Fixed costs (to connect to content provider) and per subscirber costs.
Fixed costs are the same whether there is 1 subscriber or 10 million.
Only leverage is on per subscriber costs.
Verizonb has to amke a deal that is the most cost effective for them and subscribers.

Why do you consistently accept bad customer service from Verizon, and consistently blame WTTG?

Not blamming WTTG. Just saying that it is a negotiation between Verizon and WTTG.
Pretty sure that both have a reason to get deal done and will once they agree on price.

Has anyone else noticed that in the programming guide, Channel 462 (ME.TV) is totally wrong? Not the wrong time, the wrong shows, everything is wrong.
It's on all my cable boxes, my Droid App, my Ipad app, and even the Verizon web site.
I called them yesterday about the problem, and they blamed bad data from Me.TV (Though ME.TV has correct information on their web site)'
It's completely thrashed my DVR recordings.

Me TV said they will not be available on 462 after Monday March 27th. Didn't see a notice in message center. This is one of my favorite stations.

Does anyone have a point of contact where we could ask FIOS to add the WTTG ME.TV channel?
I am sure calling support would do no good.

Verizon doesn't respond to requests for channel adds.
Looking at MeTV website, none of the major cable companies in the DC area are listed as carrying this new sub channel.
Will probably take some time for them to get plumbed up.

I spoke with Me.TV this morning and these are the cable affiliates in the region that are carrying or about to carry Me.TV
Attention Washington DC MeTV Viewers
We are sorry to report that MeTV’s affiliation with WJLA will be ending Monday, March 27
We appreciate your viewership of MeTV, and are working hard to return to all of the homes in the D.C. Area.
Currently the following outlets have agreed to carry MeTV starting Tuesday March 28
Atlantic Broadband - Channel 157
Hardy OneNet - Channel 252, Channel 1252 HD
Antietam Cable - Coming soon.

And this afternoon Cox announced they'd be picking up ME.TV as well.
It surprises me that Verizon chooses not to listen to requests from paying customers. Not what I would call stellar customer service.

Verizon typically doesn't say anything about channels until they are confirmed.
Comcast hasn't come out with anything either.
It could be that WTTG is overwhelmed with trying to negotiate with different providers and provide connectivity for this new sub channel.

I doubt complaining to Verizon will do any good. Remeber your contract

Double check, I found that while the guide is wrong, the Me.TV programming is still there on channel 462.

So it had been announced that WJLA would drop ME TV on 2/28 and replace with a network that is run but its owners called Charge TV.
The guide provider that Verizon uses had updated the guide accordingly.
For some reason (can't find it yet) WJLA either didn't switch or switched and then switched back to Me TV.
That is why the guide got out of whack.

According to the latest info from MeTV, (as of March 24, 2017) FoxDC (WTTG) will be picking up MeTV on Channel 5.3 through the airwaves. No word from either Verizon or Comcast (yet) as to whether or when they will add it to their channel selection(s).

This is a peer to perr forum.
Verizon doesn't respond with info on what channels are going to be carried.
In order to carry both Charge TV (If and when WJLA carries it) and MeTV from WTTG, they will have to add another channel.
Will probably require a change to agreement with WTTG to carry another channel (think money).
