cablecard not offered any longer?

I talked with 2 diffrent reps on two seperate days to obtain an cablecard both told me they no longer offer them is this true?

I believe the FCC reg which required CableCard support was repealed, but Vz still has them. They may no longer have the original "S" card CableCards that some earlier model HDTV's included, but they most certainly have the "M" cards which are used in devices such as a TiVO.
If you're trying to connect a TiVO, trying calling and telling them that indicating you need an "M" card cablecard. I know that I can go online into my account and simply select / add one there (just checked).

Dont think this is true. Im pretty sure law says cable providers have to offer cable cards.
