On 6/22/2015 I rec'd an email that said...
"Thank you for being a loyal FiOS® TV customer! As a token of our appreciation, we are now including HBO® in your FiOS® TV programming package. There is no additional cost to you and no action is required.
Simply tune to channel 899 HD (400 SD) to start watching the best Hollywood movies and award-winning original programming. We will automatically remove it for you after 09/30/2015."
Originally it was HBO & Cinemax (can't find that email). The channel's just suddenly started working. But right after the email above, the Cinemax channel's stopped working & the HBO channel's kept working just fine. No complaints.
---
Then today I saw a TV commercial talking about a free trial of Showtime & they listed a website ShowtimeFreeTrial.com.
I looked around the site & found a redirect to FiOs site but once I got into the FiOs site I couldn't find anything about it. The Showtime channel's aren't automatically coming on like the HBO channel's did.
Does anyone have any information on the Showtime Free Trial?

The Showtime free trial is put out by Showtime, not Fios so you'd have to sign up under Showtime's link.
Verizon does give out HBO for free to certain customers.
For a list of other free trials for other premium channels put out through Fios for a 3-4 day period they can be found here when available.

Dear SinCara, thanks for the info & for the link. But I wanted to get to the bottom of this issue so I initiated a chat with a Verizon agent. -------------------------------------------------
I'm on Social Security Disability & a very tight income & was gonna cancel it before the 30 day mark. So of course I declined & ended the chat. The way I see it; the TV commercial was a bait & switch if you don't have one of their preferred advertised methods of getting the free trial, (Apple Devices, Roku, hulu, playstation, etc., etc). If I wanted to get Showtime or any of the premium movie channels at discounted prices I would've just gone to that section of the Verizon FiOs site because I can navigate there all by myself. I'm getting off of my soapbox now. Hope that helps somebody.
