1-Occasional audio burps

2-Channel unavailable

3-Occasional no video, only sound

4-Freezing and pixelation on FX HD (553) and NatGeo(621) channels

5-Occasional wrong channel display, (press 553 and get a different channel like 502)

I can basically be happy if the pixelation is gone with this update, I happen to watch these channels frequently and it annoys the heck out of me when it happens.

Mickey - What do ya mean "audio burps"?  Is it like a "pop" static sound every once in a while?

Yes, very similar to what you are describing, like a pop or a burp!

Does anyone know if any "availability" info for this update has been released for Redondo Beach or Los Angeles County?  Everything i've read has been mainly east coast info.

I heard we are slated for mid-April. Yes, Los Angeles is one of the last (if not the last) market for the 1.6.2 release.

I couldn't find the post on dslreports even though it's not official.

Anyone know when VHO12 will most likely get updated again?

I looked through dslreports and verizonfios forums, but can't find the date for VHO 9a (Hampton Roads, VA.).  Can anyone provide a date in this thread of via PM?

Thanks a bunch.

ok hope Staten Island is still on for 3/24 and not later. Maybe sooner. Hope it fixes the SD PQ this time, because last time it was supposed to and it didint thats why another fix was needed. My RE INSTALL is Wed 3/11/09.

Yes... I second the motion for Staten Island to be as soon as possible. I want to get rid of the nasty Hub error as soon as possible.

Oh well... I'll tell her "some time by mid-april".  She's getting pretty irritated by all of the "Unable to Locate Hub" errors during her shows.  She's actually way past irritated, but I don't want to go into details in here.  Let's just say I'm just surprised we still have Fios service.  IMO, this update is long past overdue.  Borderline criminal.

As a software developer, this error would have been a Priority-1 bug and required to be fixed ASAP.   Instead, VZ decided to wait 1/2 a year to address it.

But don't you know that it's just too hard to make a Fios work as it should?  We should be happy that it works 80% of the time and just shutup!  Were just unreasonable don't you know! How can you demand it work 100%?  And don't you know that VZ is working as fast as they can?  Haha Right!

I agree that it seems to have taken a long time for the problem to get fixed. I am also a software developer. We know it is useful to take time and be methodical and to test thoroughly before releasing, but this certainly should have been a priority.

Just one stupid question - the update is due for vho8 on the 10th I used to always leave my boxes on but now I turn them off when done (it makes for better dvr recording)   Does the box have to be on to get the update?  Again I Know its a stupid question

As long as it's plugged in and connected to the coax, it does not need to be switched on.

For what it's worth, just post any new info at the end, no one will go back to the first post, since you had to write that you updated anyway, you might as well just put the update there.

Just received this update yesterday.  Tried 2 Multiroom DVR programs I recorded on two different satellite TV's and No hub problem or fast forwarding problem.  Hope it continues.
