Verizon has dropped the actors names from the descriptions in its movie guide ... Makes the guide almost useless ... Agent says its a money saving move by verizon.

I agree the names on the guide are easier to just scroll through than to need to bring up full info screen.  Very annoying when you just want to know which version of a remake is on.  Hope they put this back on soon. Maybe add an option for the user to decide what info should be shown.

A lot of comments here have me often wondering if I'm on an entirely different system or something. I just checked about 10 movie listings on my guide after reading the original post and each one lists the actors names - both in the short description listing and in the full info listing. (Not every single actor in the movie mind you, that'd be ridiculous to expect.) So I'm not sure what the issue is for the OP.

Odd, just noticed that the names are showing again on my system. Could it be the equipment i have instead of changes in the network? Nothing else was missing ,just the cast names.

I have seen different behavior on different channels. Several aspects to this are weird. Channels appear to show the names then they viewed in the "scheduled programs" tab, but these names disapear when they are in the "recorded programs" tab of the "Manage my DVR interface". Channel 511 is showing names while channels 230 and 240 are not in the recorded programs tab Is anyone at Verizon looking at this?
