Arris 1100 Box Problems - Slow Response/No Response

Has anyone had these problems?  I press channel buttons and the box does not recognize all of the numbers.  Very slow response to "Guide" button or "Menu" button.  Trying to use "search" is a nightmare.  I have contacted customer service more times than I care to mention and the solution is always rebooting the box, rebooting the router, trying other remotes and I have done all of these things over and over and over.  (The definition of insanity).  Does anyone know if there is a "real" fix for this problem.  Oddly, it is only happening on the big box, not the small one.  The small one is accurate and very fast.  I am told that this is "very unusual" for this to happen.  Can anyone get me a real good answer?

Have you tried using the remote fromthe small box nt he bix box?

I just had an issue where I was getting poor performance via remote.

Swapped to another remote and it was working much better.

Finally a solution that worked.  Received an IR extension for the box and that completely corrected the problem.
