Bad Gateway 502 error

I have been using a Fire Cube to stream television for a couple of years now. We use a Verizon FIOS router and internet service. I installed the Fox News app (thru Amazon) on my fire cube. We I try to sign in and activate the Fox News app I am asked to go to "Foxnews.com/connect" and type in the given code.  When I type in the given code the next screen asks for my internet provider. I choose Verizon FIOS and after a moment I get the screen "Bad Gateway 502".

I've tries three different web browsers, cleared the cache, rebooted my computer but continue to get this  error message. Any ideas how I can get the Fox News app to work using my Fire Cube and Verizon FIOS?

I'd un-install the app, clear the data and cache on the Firestick and re-download and re-install the app. It SHOULD work fine on a Firestick.
