I get an email TODAY informing me that as of TODAY Bein Sports is no longer available. This is the ONLY channel that carries the European soccer leagues. I want Bein Sports back and if not by the time the European season starts I will drop Verizon IMMEDIATELY and sign up with another provider. Dish, Direct TV and Comcast all carry it. I lose nothing but Verizon loses a customer and I can bet that I am not the only one.

We just found out about it too, an hour ago....I not a huge soccer fan, but Bein does carry all the motorcycle roadracing series from our National Superbike series MotoAmerica, to World Superbike, to MotoGP, Moto2, Moto3...We're done if Verizon pulls this crap again.
We'll cancel this time, and we'll fight Verizon for the attempt to collect any early termination fees..which they'll NEVER EVER GET..will fight any negative mark on of credit rating...They're re other alternatives to cable television !

I am literally getting my contract information and will use Altice ASAP before the leagues start if this isn't resolved. Only reason I have a television package with Verizon

If Verizon drops beIN sports I will cancel my entire subscription. One of the few reasons I have stayed with Verizon rather than the many a la carte options!

Today is August 1st, I just received a notification from Verizon that they are having a contract breakdown with BeinSports and effective midnight they will not be providing BeinSports packages to its Customers. Why all this last minute notifications. Verizon needs to more diligent in providing genuine Customer Services. Verizon has become the AT&T of the past. Be careful you donโt encounter another โJudge Harold Greenโ and what he
did to AT&T. You know in advance that negotiations were going nowhere and 24 before contract negotiations ends you are advising customers of the breakdown in contract negotiations?

I just recived an email from Verizon that BeinSports is looking to raise their fees, and that it could disappear from the lineup at midnight tonight - August 1, 2018.
This sucks!
I like a lot of the programming on Bein, especially MotoGP, MotoAmerica, Serie A and La Liga games, etc. If BeinSports goes away, I'll have to look for other options to continue to have access to it's programming.
Please chime in if you're a fan of BeinSports and let Verizon know we want them to keep the channel!!

MotoGP, WSBK, are offering 1/2 cost all access packages....if you have an interent capable televison, you're good, or PS3, PS4 or latop to TV via HDMI....at least you can finish opff the season !
I'll leave Verizon...go to DISH possibly....No worries, soon these greedy cable companies will either lower prices or go out of business. There are too many alternatives now ..all you need is a quality router and the world is your oyster.
Verizon better think this over !

OMG I cannot believe this either, and to tell us just a few hours before it expires is terrible... I am also out if Bein Sports is no longer available, it is basically the only reason why I switched...
Hopefully Verizon will see this forum and understand how important it is to their viewers

You say cable should lower their prices. But also keep bein. Who has asked for a large increase. How does that work in business?
As good those who say they will leave, not much you can do to fight etf. Its in the contract you signed. If cable companies paid content providers whatever they want, they would go out of business quick as their costs would be going up fsaster than they can raise prices.
Yes cable companies pay content providers for every subscriber who has access to the channel. Watched or not. I for one have never watched bein. And there may be channels I watch, you don't.
A LA carte is more controlled by content providers. They want their lesser watched channels carried. So they bundle. Or they want more income so require a channel to be carried in more packages. How else does espn get so much income? Look at threads for people who don't want it. Verizon tried to offer more a LA carte programming that didn't include ESPN. They were sued and had to drop them.
Why do people always just blame cable providers? Has anyone gone to bein social media and pushed them to settle? For two cable providers to be unable to come to quick deal must put some blame on content.

Oh please, you need to upgrade to preferred HD for BeIN in english and then to Extreme for BeIN in spanish . Verizon knows what they are doing. Altice has no issue including BeIN with their "Sports and entertainment pack " along 20 other channels for just $10 . If it was so expensive then how do they make their way onto > $20 streaming packages elsewhere? That's fine. Lucky for me I signed up on a lower tier TV package so when I downgrade back Verizon can keep the extra 200 channels of junk to themselves and I'll stream BeIN. Then take advantage of one of those ETF buyout offers and sayonara.

Verizon makes it very hard for anyone's voice to be heard. Instead of beIN Sports we get One America News, the blaze, NewsMax and other right wing **bleep** channels. I didn't ask for these horrible channels. I have Ultimate only because of beIN.
I pay $276 a month. When I called customer service to voice my opinion about beIn being deleted the service rep had the gall to say, "We at Verizon are always looking for ways to keep our service affordable." I told her and I'll say it again. It's already unaffordable! This is ridiculous. They have until August 8th to fix this or I'm gone.

I saw a post on another forum that Comcast dropped them as well for the same reason.
Looks like a squabble over money.

I'm not sure what the issue is between Bein Sports USA, Verizon and Comcast...but I'll say this on behalf of the cable companies.. Bein has too many hands in the pie..they cover Collegiate football, these stupid idiotic sports talk programs, womens tennis..who watches womens tennis for Pete's sake..honestly !...kick boxing..etc..all that comes at a cost..Maybe Bein ought to think about dropping some of the stuff they cover..For Collegiate football, I'll watch Fox, ABC, CBS, ESPN....not Bein...NO ONE WATCHES WOMENS TENNIS, so why should Bein pay to televise it.. maybe Bein should stick to soccer, motorcycle racing.leave Football to other cable providers...That said Verizon ought to have had this negotiated and sewed up BEFORE the contract was up.. This time we're not tolerating it....we'll leave...and NO WAY ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH will we pay an early termination fee of $10/month for every month left early..NO WAY ! The Bein channel is in no way comparable to Univision ..to which Verizon also had had contract issues with and had dropped there channel...eventually they agreed and brought Univision back...Subscribers won't tolerate losing Bein..they'll leave....Again be very careful Verizon, there are ALTERNATIVES to cable...

We just signed up for Fios the day Bein was dropped from Comcast. Can still cance within 30 days for no penalty and will consider doing so. Solve this, Verizon. As you can see from this thread there are many subscribers for whom this channel is a major priority. And for every person posting here there are countless others thinking the same thing but not posting about it on a forum...
This channel is the only channel that covers the highest rated league in the world for the most popular sport in the world. It should absolutely be included in any package.
By the way, if one wants to express wanting to have this channel restored, is this the best place to do it? Does anyone from Verizon read this? Or is there somewhere else to lodge an โofficialโ complaint/request?

I'd happily pay a couple of bucks - or whatever - more to keep beIN. They should just have those sort of channel-level a la carte options available to customers. Seems like it would solve the problems, because I'm assuming they only pay beIN for the number of customers who have access to it.

This stinks. Was shocked when I received their e mail this morning. Was anxiously awaiting for soccer season to start and now this. Its all about money and we are stuck in the middle. If beIN Sports is dropped , will defintely cancel Fios .
