I upgraded to the the FIOS ONE boxes and totally regret it - the only positive thing is the boxes are small and the mini’s connect wireless. I have had nothing but problems whenever I switch from my SONY Bravia apps back to TV - it can’t find the signal and I end up having to unplug the box which is the DVR box so it screws all the other TV’s in the house, then sometimes that doesn’t fix it so I have to change the HDMI plug input and also uplug the TV I also found that when I hit pause on the TV that has the DVR box it pauses other TV’s even if they aren’t on the same channel and those TV’s freeze and have to have the box unplugged to get them back to normal.
I also had the problem of my TV freezing for a few seconds and loosing sound, I did contact tech support and they did something on their end which worked for a few days.
I am at the point where I will be switching providers as soon as my stupid contract is over in 6 months. I am done with Verizon
Beware if you upgrade - its nothing but a nightmare and I’m sorry I did!!!
If anyone has any ideas why all this is happening I’d love to hear ........

I’ve had essentially the same exact experience. It was rolled out too early... way too many issues.

I had the same problem and they finally sent a tech out - turns out the new boxes use a different signal than the old ones so if you have old wiring you will have an issue. The tech replaced the wires and the issue is resolved. Now we have issue with the pause button pausing all the TV's not just the one.

Same problem, but how did you manage to get a tech - they just outright refuse even though following their suggestions and calling multiple times does nothing.

Go to dslreports.com and post your problem in the Verizon Direct forum. That is a direct connection to Fios tech, and you should get an answer fairly quickly.

I have had nothing but problems and the service is terrible. Remote constantly unpairs totally or partially, can’t get on Netflix switch back from Apple TV, and on and on... not a day goes by I’m not spending 30 min resetting, unplugging, whatever.

Don't know if anything has changed in the boxes or software but I've had mine for a couple months now and only had an issue from the start with the menu options. Couldn't search and sports guide wasn't working. Called and in about 10 minutes they did something on their end and everything was fine. The commented issues with the remote have been non-existent for me. I've loved TV One.
The reason I found this string was I did run into an issue with UHD where I tried to record one of their few UHD broadcasts. I got a warning on my 3 yr old Bravia about hdcp 2.2 and to make sure I was using the cable that came with TV One. I thought maybe it was the age of the TV so I tried on a Roku TV I bought just this year. I didn't get the same error message but a message that the show was over. Well yeah it was over, I recorded it so I could see it when I got home. So the research began.
Hdcp 2.2 is pirate protection to stop you from pirating content but does this mean you won't be able to DVR anything in UHD. Don't know because it was Sat. night and FIOS currently only has support M-F and Sat till 5.
So, I decided to see what Netflix had in UHD to see if I at least had the ability to play UHD content after I upgraded my Netflix to UHD content. It worked so I knew the TV One could play UHD that wasn't DVR'd. Back to regular HD.
The TV flashed a picture for a few seconds then blacked out and repeated doing that over and over. Turned the TV off then on again, the same thing. Decided to turn everything off for 30 seconds. Turned it back on and after the FIOS box rebooted, everything was back to normal.
So the Monday call will be about the issue of bouncing off UHD to HD, which I'll try on the other TV tomorrow as a test and, once UHD becomes mainstream broadcast, will you be able to DVR it.

I kept calling tech support and on the last call I told them flat out I was not trying any more of their solutions I need someone to come and check the wiring so the tech agreed and set up an appointment. I was told there woudl be a charge and I agreed to it even though I had no intention of paying I planned on calling and explaining the situation and gettign the charge reversed luckily I didn't have to I was never charged. Like I said it only corrected one issue - the pause, forward and rewind has not been solved at all!

No have been told lots of solutions but nothing has worked. It was even doing it the other night when we watched a recorded show from last week and the TV in the other room was watchign live TV and the sound and picture started acting up on that TV. Had to reboot main box to fix it.
We were told we have too many boxes and even though they are supposed to be independent something is happening where one is controling the other - sounds lame to me. It is obviousely a box issue and the engineers need to find out why the new boxes do this if there are multiple boxes in the house. I'm ready to switch companies.

Hi - somone suggested this could be a remote control issue since the new remotes don't need to be pointed at the box to work and if the mini's are close enough to each other it coud be causing the problem. I have old remotes and the tech told me they work with the new boxes so I am going to try that to see if it corrects the issue cause Verizon hasn't a clue how to fix it.

Well I am 99% sure it is a remote issue - I am now using old remotes on the two TV's in the bedrooms and I tested it by using the pause, play and playing a recorded show also using forward and pause and there have been no issues on the other TV or the TV I was testing it on. So if you have the old remotes use them on any TV's that are in close proximity. Seems the new remots can control the other boxes through walls even if they aren't paired with the TV.

Well the issue was solved for a little while but it is back so we just don't use pause, forward or rewind on the remotes. This is a major problem that the manufacturer of the equipment needs to address. I'll put up with it for 4 more months till my contract ends. I honestly wish I could have my old boxes back, never had any problems with them!

The problem is back using the old remotes, or the new ones?

Both - basically you can only watch recorded shows if you just start them and don't use any of the buttons to pause or move forward. I tried again last night I started watching a recorded show and needed to do something so instead of pausing I exited back to live TV then when I came back and resumed watching all the problems started the freezing, loosing sound and pixelating. It is a nightmare that I wish Verizon woud address.

Is it possible to have 2 DVR boxes on the same account? I think if we use two DVR boxes having one on one TV and theother on the 3. Some of the techs seem to think that the new boxes have issues if you have too many boxes and we have 4 minis and one DVR.
