I was watching a Suits marathon at 2:45 a.m. on Monday morning after getting home from work (I work late into the night) and *poof,* the Fios box reset and Cloo was gone.  In the middle of a Suits marathon!  That's a felony in my household.  We're going back to Cablevision.  I came over to Fios simply to get Cloo when Cablevision didn't have it, and now I can go back on an extremely cheap refugee-from-Fios plan.  I won't mind having News 12 NJ again; Channel One News just doesn't cut it.

OMG I cannot believe Verizon Dropped CLOO 186 CHANNEL....I watched that everyday.  I know for sure if they do not come back with it I am dropping my subscription with Verizon and going with Comcast.

You do realize that Comcast does NOT carry CLOO either (and they own it!!!)

I am so upset too.  I had to uprage to the ultimate package just to get the channel and now it's gone.  That was the only reason I upgraded.

Only in certain markets. Each market is dfifferent when it comes to channel packages and what you get. What one gets for channels in Florida under Extreme is going to be different from what one in NYC gets.

---Not only that but I think people should research everything and think it through before switching to cable because of one lost station.  I'm not trying to be insensitive but I think cable has fewer channels available and if you want all of the same channels that are available in the Verizon line up on cable, you have to pay extra.  I don't even like the qualilty of cable and it's kind of like a letdown when you're so used to the Verizon picture quality from the fiber optics.

I'm sure Verizon's decision to drop a channel is just based on ratings and it's all about money in the end, not what customers want.  It kind of stinks but there really is a lot of overlap between many of the stations and many shows being played on one station will often appear on another and they get shown over and over again.  I have so many channels selected for my Favorites list that I just can't possibly watch them all or keep track of others that I don't necessarily notice.  I also have certain channels marked on my Favorites list that I sometimes just stop watching after a while because they'll show programs that just aren't interesting or enjoyable.

I'm sorry if any of my comments about this upset anyone but that is my opinion.

I just discovered that cloo had been removed from fios channel lineup. Bring back cloo! You have all the sports channels that I do not watch at all. You have the Oprah channel that I do not watch! I watched cloo regularly. I pay you guys almost $200 a month and what do I get for it? You remove the channels I watch. My contract is up in 2015, looks like may not be renewing it!

Welcome to the forums. You're talking to other customers here.  None of us has any power to control the FiOS line up.  Nor can we do anything in response to threats to change service providers.

Enjoy!

I may switch providers, too.  They have soooooooooooooo many sports channels and music video channels, and yet the pull the CLOO channel and next month they are pulling the Universal HD channel (Channel 567).  I am very irritated.

I feel very much like you do. I do enjoy the sports channels, but the music channels are a waste for me.

The CLOO Channel was one of the stations I watched all the time. It's infuriating when FIOS makes these decisions without contacting the customers. Bring CLOO back!

I was also very disappointed this morning to discover that CLOO has been removed from the lineup.  I would love for it to return.  Not sure how to make that happen.  It is one of the few channels that I can count on that will have something I enjoy playing everyday.  Verizon please bring it back ๐Ÿ˜ž

I was away over the weekend and came back to discover the missing CLOO. I am simply horrified. I know it's just a TV channel, and life's to short to really get upset about such trivial things, but it was one of my favorites. Loved revisiting MacGyver after all these years, among other things.

Saddest part is that after a 40-minute online chat with Verizon, their people insisted the channel was still in my package -- they didn't have any information to contrary. I had to come here to discover the truth.

Let's start a campaign to bring it back!

As an FYI,you can watch MacGyver for free at http://www.cbs.com/shows/macgyver/ (with commercials) or if you have Netflix, you can watch it without commercials as a part of your Netflix subscription.

The other things Cloo shows are mostly repeatedly aired on USA, Universal HD, or one several other TV stations owned by the Scheinhardt Wig Company (or KableTown).  (Lots of the Law & Orders are also on Netflix.)

I know most of the shows are available on other channels, but not all the time. That's the great thing about Cloo -- there's always something to watch. And occasionally they throw in some different shows.

With what I'm paying Verizon, I shouldn't have to have a Netflix subscription or do other video streaming, as some suggest. I keep threatening to cut the cord entirely and just do streaming, but I'm still hanging on. If I lose more of my favorite channels, though, I'll have to reconsider when my stupid contract is up.

Well, in case you didn't know, the Universal HD channel is being pulled, too.  I'd like to see the LOGO channel removed if they want to remove one.

Where do you find the information about what channels they are removing?

Universal too?  Next will be USA and we'll all be **bleep** with our favorite shows.

You must not be a fan of "NCIS". Over the past several months, NBC Universal has moved the majority of NCIS airings to Cloo, with USA showing much less of it, and usually when they do, it's only episodes from Seasons 1 and 2.

I'm smart enough to know there's nothing anyone can do about this, except make a personal choice to cut the cord. The day the NFL goes over the top with RedZone, I won't have FiOS, or any of their competitors.

I just realized that Fearnet has been gone but Chiller is still there.  Both of those stations are pretty much the same for horror movies.

My comments are not being directed to anyone personally and this is only my opinion but even if I were a fan of NCIS and preferred to see that show on Cloo, I might be disappointed but I don't know...I really don't get so upset over stuff like that and think about switching providers just over that.  To me, it really isn't the end of the world and with so many other stations to choose from, several of which I don't have time to watch, I don't see that as getting ripped off.  If it bothers you that much, then switch providers.

Perhaps a poll should be taken to find out how many people actually follow through with switching to cable vs. those who don't.  I'm just curious because these forums are filled with so much venting.

Again, I'm really sorry if any of this upsets anyone.

I, too am very upset that Verizon pulled CLOO from the lineup.  It is definitely the reaon I went for the Extreme package.  I certainly am going to consider some changes.  I watch CLOO all the time and can almost always find something I enjoy watching on it.  Very disappointed in Verizon.
