DVR Manager won't allow editing of series settings

Hi,

 I can't get the DVR Manager to edit my series settings......it gives an error that the DVR isn't responding.   However, I am able to setup series recordings via the TV guide, plus I can check my series in the DVR Manager, so it seems to be responding.   I don't get it.

Have you tried rebooting the box through the menu under customer support....fix fios tv issues? If that doesnt work try unplugging the box for a few minutes then plugging it back in. Sometimes these simple things fix glitches that we can sometimes experience.

If its not the DVR, its sometimes the router.  You may need to reboot both, and then wait for the DVR to reconnect. 

I am not sure if they ever fixed it, but there was also a problem in the past that required something to reset at the Verizon side when IP changes occurred.  Almost noone at Verizon knew how to reset it, and so users used to have to wait a day or so until it reset on its own.
