Whenever I press the red record button and then view it later, the recording actually begins like 10-15 minutes prior to when I hit the button. Is there a setting to change this?

The recording starting before you press the "record" button is likely due to how your DVR records programs. This can be intentional or an error, and it's worth checking if there are any settings that could adjust this behavior.
To find out if there are any adjustments you can make, follow these steps:
Access your DVR's menu options. This can usually be done by pressing the "DVR" button on your remote or by navigating to a specific menu option labeled as such.
Locate the settings for recorded programs. These may be found under a heading like "Scheduled Recordings" or "Recording Settings."
Look for an option that controls the start time of recordings. This could be labeled as "Start Time," "Early Start," or something similar. Adjusting this setting should give you more control over when your recordings begin.
If you're unable to find a setting that directly addresses this issue, it might be worth contacting Verizon's customer support to inquire about this behavior and see if there are any known issues or adjustments that can be made.

Thanks Oakey. I found it under Help and Recording Live TV. It claims it will record from when i first tuned into the channel or from the beginning of the program. Doesn't really help me much but at least I know.
