Lately I have been missing the end of games that I am recording on the Fios DVR because the network broadcasts them on a different channel. Apparently the game is running long, and rather than preempt the beginning of a regularly scheduled program on the channel my game was on, they broadcast a notice that viewers need to watch the end of the game on an affiliated channel. Is there any way the DVR can be set to automatically record the end of the game on the channel it is switched to?

Depending on which boxes you have when you look at the record options there should be an option for start time before and end time after programming. Set what you think you'll need there, otherwise there is no automatic option.

The problem is not with the recording not going long enough. It is w/ the network changing the channel for the end of the game. For example, yesterday I was recording the CU vs UCF college football game (on Fox I think). Early in the 4th quarter the game's announcers said a baseball game would be coming on shortly, and viewers who wanted to continue watching the football needed to change channels (to another Fox channel). Is there no feature that will cause the DVR to follow the event being recorded to another channel if necessary?

Sorry, I don't believe there is a way to do that. Pretty bad on the broadcasters but I have seen that before.
