DVR UI Issues

I have the Fios package with 1GB service and within the past month or so I've been seeing odd behavior from the DVR options whenever I try to record shows. I used to get prompts to extend the recording  when clicking the Record button on the remote or screen but now it just sits there until I back out of the menu. I have to go to Scheduled Recordings to confirm that the show was actually scheduled or to manually extend it. This is pretty basic stuff that now doesn't work the way it did earlier. Anybody else seeing this behavior?

Was there a firmware update recently that might have caused the issue?
