DVR goes off pause quickly

I've been with Fios for 12 years and love it. I recently updated my equipment as it was out of date and kept freezing. 

So now I'm trying to learn this new system. One of the things I'm frustrated with is pausing on the DVR. 

It used to stay paused for an hour and once it was an hour it would go to live tv. 

Now the pause stops way sooner (didn't time it) and it starts playing the paused DVR show so I had to rewind it to get back where I was. 

Is there any way to change the setting for this? I've searched and can't find anything.

I don't know of any way to change the timeout on the DVR. Sorry, maybe someone else has an idea.
