I had the error 'DVR not authorized on this set top box' again. Verizon had overnighted a new one and It was working for two days and I got the same error on this box as well. Since I work in information technology I decided to listen to the dvr boot up and I discovered that the hard drive is bad. There is a distinctive clicking when the hard drive spins up that indicates the armature is bad. You shouldn't be able to hear this type of clicking at all. I imagine this happens quite a bit.
