Deceptive Service Reps

My set top boxes stopped working properly both on the same day they stopped displaying changed and program info and the guide didn't work. I went to the app for help and had to interact through chat in the end the service rep stated that the boxes and my router had to be replaced the rep saidbthe good news was it would only be an extra $3 a month I asked what was the increase the reap said taxes which did not make sense. I said I was already paying taxes on the service and why would they go up? They did not say I asked what went up the cost of service or the taxes the rep never replied. The rep sent me and email with the cost broken down. I reviewed it and saw that the estimate taxes were listed as 78 cents what I am currently paying is $34.52. My first bill would have arrived with and extra $37 cost if I said yes. Don't trust the Verizon reps the extra cost was because they changed my TV/internet package it was a pure and simple deception showing the taxes at 78 cents when Verizon cannot charge that little... beware
