With that standard HD package, I assume you have now, you get about 10 HD options, with the extreme package, you get around 100 options. Most you will never watch, but it has the good ones. Sci-fi being one of the best in my opinion. You can check here for full listings.

Yeah, the Extreme HD package is the Bomb! You get  around at least 70! (Yes, that’s Seventy!) or more HD channels with that! (TimSykes, above posting, is probably in a large-market area as there are 150 possible new channels coming and the exact number may vary by location) Now I don’t work for sales at Verizon but I’ve heard too that some customers might have discounts available for this or even be “grandfathered” in to this package! If you E-Mail me through this website I can help you check on that, get this package & help negotiate the system for you, I’d be happy to help off-line.

I dont think the number in any market will be 150. But in some markets they have over 100 HD channels, and in other less then 80. To find out whats in your market now you can check here . I know everywhere is getting a bump in HD about 10 channels mostly sports ones I think.

I'm really confused about this Extreme HD pacakage. I called up a couple of weeks ago, they told me no problem, that I would have the new channels in 24-48 hours. I didn't notice any new channels. I called a week later, I was told the person I first spoke to put in the order wrong, and I should be upgraded in 24-48 hours. Still I don't see any new channels. I called last Friday again, this time the person on the phone told me I already have the Extreme package. But I still don't see any new channels that I didn't have before. For instance, I thought the tennis channel is part of the Extreme package, but I don't have that channel. Can anyome explain me which channels are part of the Extreme package?

I just had to post and say that I think the whole idea of the "extreme HD package" is total {word filter avoidance} .  When I signed up for my service, I signed up for the HD package and I was told that I would recieve all the available HD channels other than the primium HD channels such as HBO and Showtime.  I was also told that as more channels became available in HD they would be automatically added to my account.  Now my standard HD package doesn't even include channels like FoxnewsHD, FXHD, or SpeedHD.  So what is going to happen if I sign up for the extreme package?  How long with that last?  Maybe a year from now when there are even more HD channels available Verizon will establish the "super extreme HD package" and I will be expected to "upgrade" again.  I ordered the HD package, is it really unresonalbe for me to expect to recieve all the HD channels?  My tv bill alone is well over one hundred bucks a month with no movie channels and I don't even get all the HD channels???  Sorry, but I feel like I am being juiced a little here.  Also, what is up with this web site?  Why can't I change my channel line up on-line?  Does verizon really think I want to call and wait on-hold just to talk to someone that is generally very unhelpfull?  Do they think I want to call and wait on-hold just so I can give them more of my money each month?

Verison should realize that we have options such as Directv, dish network, and brighthouse.

Can't wait until my contract is up!!

I feel you Paboshon. I believe Fios was good, what? probably 1 year n before. But starting this summer(2008) it seems that they just got a lot o people signed up for fios tv and when u there already they start to increase the price little by little... I remember when i signed up on May 2008 the movie package was 25 bucks including hbo n cinemax, now that i saw the different package pricing i found out that is 30bucks already.. I believe that conpared to Dish Network that charged me 20 buck extra to add HD programing 2years ago, Fios isnt that bad because  we dont pay extra. However Dish Network Receivers cost only 5buck sd, and 7hd when Fios is 5bucks sd, but charges 10 for hd and if u want dvrs 14.99. So anywyas i think we pay that extra money. I bellieve there gotta be like a regulation or some type of law to regulate all this arising prices of tv, internet and phone providers......
