For the last two weeks the picture quality using the APP on my ipad has been bad - it is not clear, a bit blurry. the quality is the same weather I am watching live tv or a recording. Anyone know why this is happening it is quite annoying.

Has there been a solution to this yet? I have the same issue. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times. I have reset my router and have been in contact with tech support many times. No one from Verizon seems to know how to fix this issue. Like other people, all other streaming apps are crystal clear but the Verizon TV app is worse than SD quality. Same for recordings and live tv.

Support is looking into a fix.

I’ve had this problem for months. My picture quality starts out fine, then goes to pixelated after a few mins. Closing the stream and reopening it fixes to problem, but again only for a few mins. There’s no skipping in the audio, so the issue seems to be with the app downgrading the video somehow rather than a connection issue.
The app also seems to die a lot mid-stream, maybe every hour or so. It goes to a black screen with an error code consisting on numbers and dashes, but a different error each time. There’s a Retry button, but it’s just for show, the only fix is to manually kill the app and restart it, then it works fine (until the picture quality drops again.)

fios tv app looks horrible on my iPad Pro...especially some channels.
For the first minute the resolution is fair, then within the new next minute or two I am watching fios tv app through something that looks like the privacy glass in a shower door! The resolution dissolves into pixelated, unwatchable blankety-blank! My WiFi is fast. What's up Verizon? Please fix this. Comcast is calling.

Same problem here. I’ve mostly been watching on other available apps to avoid the torture of calling Verizon. I see that complaints are dating back quite some time with no resolution. Pun intended.

This has been going on for years and is totally unacceptable
How much longer do we need to hear that you are working on it

This has been going on for years and Verizon has told me over and over that it will be fixed
What is taking so long?

Ridiculous…can’t stand if the Yankees are on Pix11 because I can’t watch on iPad. I have gigabit service and am sitting feet from the router. Every other streaming service (including Yes app) is crystal clear. Unacceptable in this day and age.

Still? Com'n - this thing has been going on for so long, your tech needs to find another area of their talent.

I switched from Xfinity to Verizon Fios and have enjoyed the top tier internet bandwidth and the cable channel lineup. But in comparison to how great the xfinity mobile app worked throughout the house, the Fios TV app is obviously fundamentally flawed.
I now have a wired Fios extender (I thought maybe that would fix it) and am using an IPhone 11 or iPad Pro, but in the Fios tv app, the picture on any channel will break up into a pixelated low resolution mess after a minute of being clear. Every time. With xfinity I had a clear picture on the 2nd story of my house, with a single router being in the basement 2 floors below. Now I can’t get a clear picture 1 foot from the router.
I suspect they have to re-write the program from the ground up. In the meantime, I need to weigh how much i value watching HD programming throughout the house vs the great channel lineup, and maybe switch back to Xfinity.
Xfinity’s equipment and software worked perfectly, but they have crappy channel lineup for movies.

From what I've heard here and there the problem is an IOS issue with the Verizon app. I have to assume there will be a fix in the near future as I'm sure they have seen these posts.
