Fios TV App stops playing when switching Apps on iPhone or when locking phone.

Why doesn't the Fios TV Mobile App keep the video player on top of other apps, or continue to play/stream when the phone is locked? This is a basic feature that should exist as it does with XFinity. I pay a boat-load of money every month for the Fios services and I am disappointed that I can't continue to watch Fios TV when I switch to other Apps on my phone.
This really should be a default feature.

Look in settings for the app in your iphone to keep running when screen saver is on. Should be in Iphone/settings/apps.

The setting you reference to, does not exist. Please double-check that your solution is correct. Can you add a screenshot of what I should be looking for? Thank you!

Look at this, see if there is an always on top, or power option for the app.

Thank you for the reply. That didn't work either.
As I said in my original post, Picture-in-Picture mode, where the video stays on top of the other apps, should be a default feature of the Mobile TV App.
PiP mode has been an available feature for literally years, since IOS 14. Verizon is intentionally impeding their customers by not adding this to their standard app build. It's a shame.

100% agree that the Comcast Infinity mobile app is much better, with PIP, stability, and UI.

THANK YOU !!! I am so disappointed. I have buyers remorse!!! This is a feature, that, Xfinity, Netflix, Hulu, Peacock, prime TV. The list goes on ALL have !!! I donโt understand?!? as big as Verizon is lthey canโt add this to their mobile application?!?! This Has to be my biggest complaint !! I use my phone to watch all of my recordings. I work out with my phone playing I walk my dog with my phone playing as Iโm watching something I go to respond to a text and it completely takes me out of the show sometimes so not only does it NOT stay on the screen it doesnโt even leave me where I was at. I am giving it a few more months and Iโm just going back to Xfinity. Iโd rather pay the extra $20 a month and be able to watch what Iโm watching and answer a text message!!!

Agreed! Making the switch to Verizon has been the WORST decision I ever made. Iโm 100% going back to Xfinity. Iโve had this horrible service since November and itโs infuriating how badly this app functions, not to mention you canโt watch at least 50% of the channels you pay for if youโre not at home. Iโve also had to call these clowns at least 4-5 times to try and get them to come back and bury the line that is still draped down my yard, driveway and in front of my neighbors house. Disgraceful!

I was also very annoyed by this, but found that you can get the MiniPlayer to work on iPhone if you login to the Verizon website in Safari and livestream from there instead of the appโฆ
