Was just recently upgraded to Fios TV + due to current set top boxes expiring in April 2025. There is no option on the new remote or in settings to adjust the aspect of the screen size. With my old remote i was able to press # to widen the screen and remove the black bars. Is there anyway to do this with Fios TV + ?

I remember seeing each box automatically adjust its settings during initial setup on each TV connection. The 2 TVs I've connected to turned out correctly. I looked for any settings to manually adjust aspect on the box and could not find anything. If you can't fix it in your TV settings, you might get desperate enough to factory reset your box and take it through setup again. But I would suggest you have another box in your house with which to restore most of your settings.
Factory reset - hold down box power button till sub-menu displays. choose option.

If there is a way, it would be in the settings under Android TV settings>Display and Sound. If it isn't there you will have to make the adjustment in your TV's aspect ratio adjustments.
