Did Verizon block mirroring the Fios TV app? I use to be able to mirror the fios tv app off either my iPad or iPhone. Now it only plays sound not video.
I use Roku and all other streaming app work fine expect for fios.
I wouldn't be surprised if they started blocking it for some reason. I started experiencing the same problem recently. I'm not able to get video when mirroring from the FIOS TV Mobile app on my iPhone to my Apple TV. When I mirror the FIOS app to my Apple TV, I initially see the app's screen on my Apple TV until I try to watch a show or game. Then the screen on the Apple TV goes black. If I stop watching the show or game, the Apple TV screen shows the mirrored FIOS app's screen again. I don't believe it's caused by the content creator restricting mirroring, because I was able to mirror a game using the FOX Sports app on my phone to the Apple TV. The video was blacked out when trying to mirror the same game through the FIOS app. The same thing happened with a game on NBC. The game mirrored without issue from the NBC Sports app on my phone, but the video was black for the same game through the FIOS app.
Good to know it’s not me. You would think with the amount of money we pay each month, they would allow this at least.
Good to know, but frustrating. Yes, the service is very expensive, and they increase the cost while removing features, and channels. I'm constantly evaluating other options.
Just wondering what the fix is for this problem, I too recently get only audio and no picture when I select a channel to watch when mirroring the streaming app.
