i have Fios one and rent an extender.( which i would like to return and save a few bucks) I want to free dead zones and received a rockspace tri band mesh system. Can i connect that to my router and still use my Fios one wireless boxes? If so how do I connect it to my existing router?

Verizon is (or did) running/run a promotion where Fios subscribers could have the rental charges for their router and one extender dropped. The units are still rented, but no extra charges are applied.
If the main STB (the VMS) is connected to the Fios router via coaxial cable, it will still receive updates so long as the router is connected to the ONT.
I have read that it is possible to have STBs update and function properly when using non-Fios routers. I, myself, have not attempted this because I switched from a mishmash of Linksys routers to all Fios equipment a while back.
