I just switched from Time Warner to Fios and I am happy with FIOS but I can't live without my soccer and if Time Warner got FSC in HD and GOLtv in HD then I guess I will be switching back.
FSC and GOL are the only channels I watch on Weekends so I dont see why I shouldnt go back and they will probably give me a deal for going back anyway.

This is getting on my nerves. It would be great if Verizon would at least comment on the subject. If they have, someone please direct me to that? Thank you.

They've thrown out a few generic responses in various places but nothing concrete. I had FoxSoccer Plus but the picture looks crap on the big screen and to pay 14.99 for it is a joke. I live and die football myself and just had to cancel this channel as the picture isn't bearable now that we'ev gotten used to everything else in HD. Waiting for contract to expire now and moving on to the competition, will miss the internet speed but that's good most places now anyhow.

Amen ccr10. I love FIOS internet and I love the PQ of the TV side, but keeping customers in the dark and taking away HD (even tho it was West coast feeds) and adding a couple of channels not many are interested in is a bit annoying. FSC-HD seems to be the most popular HD request. I'm judging this by what I see in this forum. EPL season is right around the corner. If I was not under a contract, I'd be bailing.
moshea, I had FSC+\Setanta on Dish and trust me, the PQ was way worse. I had FSC+ on FIOS but dropped it when the season ended. $14.99 is high, esp. when there are some providers out there who include it in their sports pack. Time Warner in Austin TX is one of them.

I was originally really pumped about FIOS when it was first announced before even their initial deployments in TX, and when it finally came around I thought all my TV needs had been fulfilled. But with the lack of FSC HD, I am strongly considering a switch away with the EPL season on the horizon.
Anyway, I've posted a couple inquiries to the FiOSTV twitter feed requesting more information on FSC HD and all I get are vague replies of agreement to my initial thoughts on wanting FSC HD. At least tell me you're working on it.

LOL @ "me too". Great response there. It's pretty pathetic that they still don;'t have the channel, and have provided 0 status on it.

OK. So there are 15 pages of discussion that I can't be bothered reading as it mostly indicates frustrated EPL Fans getting nothing from Verizon other than 'We're working on it'...
So tell me Verizon when will FSC HD come to Verizon FIOS?
Don't need speculation, Just need a Date for when the Beautiful Game will be in HD FSC.
You have ESPN in HD which was fantastic during the world cup.
Fox Channels have HD so what is the hold up?
Cheers,
Casper

Don't really expect from Verizon to add Fox Soccer HD that early and if they do it will be priced, not inlcuded in the package for sure, especially when they charge $14.99 a month for unwatchable fox soccer plus( former Setanta) also regular fox soccer channel in unwatchable on Fios.
For New Yorkes finally good news, Time Warner is adding Fox Soccer HD, Gol TV HD among other channels on September 1st. To see it officially, go to twcnyc.com and on the right side click on "upcoming channel changes"
Their Fox Soccer HD togetehr with Gol TV HD will be probably in the "Sport Tier" package, which carries already Fox Soccer Plus HD. The package is only $3.95 a month, which is acceptable, that's why I 've cancelled Verizon already as they behave the same way Time Warner did during monopoly in Manhattan.

I seriously cannot believe the start of the new season is just weeks away and Verizon didn't manage to get FSC HD on their lineup. This is beyond dissapointing... Its time to look for competing providers, I refuse to watch another season on SD when people who are paying less are able to enjoy FSC AND FSC PLUS on HD...

Let's just hope we get FSC-HD before Aug.14. Maybe sooner so we can watch the Community Shield and other pre-season action too. FSC+HD would be a nice surprise and I would prolly spend the $14.99 for it, but I'd be shocked if we get both.

Being reported that Direct TV should have FSC HD by 8/11 and GOL TV HD by 8/4. Also that they are hoping to have FS+ in HD as well.
All we get are vague non-committal comments from the FiOS Twitter guy who gets excited discussing widgets.

Would really love an update from someone at FiOS, Direct TV have all but confirmed they will be getting GOL TV HD, FSC HD and FSC+ HD, whereas there has been no announcement from FiOS. When Direct TV adds these channels, they will pretty much be the only large carrier who will not carry. COX in my area carry it and I am seriously considering switching over before the start of the new season unless there is some official announcment soon. It's really ridiculous given they add HD channels that no one has requested, but will not add ones that a large number are requesting.

Well, it's done. I cancelled Fios TV, and just kept the Fios Internet and my cell-phone. Direct TV is coming Sat. morning to install services, and yes FSC HD, Gol TV HD will be available before the start of the new season!!!! Not only that but I also get ESPN 3D and finally put that new TV to some use. {word filter avoidance}

I just wanted to re-iterate that I'd like FSC in HD.
I'm seriously considering making a switch just for this reason.

I recommend everyone to just go ahead and switch... I was hesitant at first because I love the Fios Internet, but I just kept that and my cellphone service and switched to Direct TV. It's a joke that it is the start of a new season and they haven't managed to at least tell us the status of this channel while other carriers are working on GOL TV HD already!!!!

Agree there. I asked and the internet is what I like as well. I currently pay 165 (180 when PL starts and I get fox soccer plus) and I called and asked and they said i could keep phone and internet for 79. That's 100 on tv (including devices). Went to Direct TV and for that same $100 I get way more prem content as well as Fox soccer and plus in HD along with NFL package and better equipment. Sorry but it's about time to move on unless something changes before the PL season starts........

I'm on a contract\agreement so I'd rather not switch providers but I may jump if I wake up on the morning of 8/14 and only have EPL in SD. All I can say\suggest is let's keep politely demanding that the channel be added. I've started tweeting to @FiOSTV (I'm @lolhoss) and the gent handling it has been responsive. If you have not tried this route, go for it. I made a couple of phone calls to support for other issues the last couple of days and I made sure and asked about FSCHD and suggested that it be added soon. They took 4 west coast HD feeds away and have added 2 channels so far. My math says they have room for 2 more.

Well, we've been asking politely for the addition of this channel for months. It's really outrageous that the whole summer went by, and the new season is about to start and they haven't even mentioned any word on FSC HD. For the money I pay I think I deserve to have the channel by now... or at least tell us you're working on it. Also, you can't help but get angry when other carriers are adding the channel along with counterparts such FSC + HD, and Gol TV HD.
I'm sorry, but unless you are under contract it's time to move on. Direct TV just lunched their new satellite which will most likely mean an avalanche of HD and 3D programming... Meanwhile Verizon, due to market expansion, won't be able to invest much to broaden their bandwidth in order to add HD feeds.
I will keep Direct TV for 12 months, give it a chance, enjoy the EPL in HD along with La Liga in HD with GOLTV HD... I'll check back with Verizon once the year is up... If they have sorted themselves out, I might switch back.
For now though, August 14th can't come soon enough. Let's go Gunners!!!!!!!!!!

I echo the sentiments of those above who recommend "just switching". All that will happen if you don't is you will get angrier and angrier, all the while missing the avalanche of soccer in HD coming next month.
Life's too short.
Switch, you'll get a bunch of additional national HD channels, you'll be happier and you won't have heartburn. Maybe somewhere down the road Verizon will add the channels people want, maybe they won't, and the picture on D* (or E*) won't be QUITE as good, but it will be a better overall experience. You can still keep the Internet.

While I agree the one thing that was stopping me from getting Direct TV is having a dish, and since we get a fair few thunder storms I don't want to lose the picture. That being said COX offer it in my region (although just FSC HD), so that is who I am seriously considering changing to. Personally I will probably wait until the season starts and then change if it doesn't come online. I have had confirmation it is on their list of channels they want to add, there has just been no date as to when and if it will be added. It appears no moderators want to comment on this anymore just filter for abusive language (so annoying).
