FOx Soccer will be available in HD starting in March. Please add!
the only hope that I see is that they haven't filled channel 584, which would be the HD channel for FSC most likely, based on how they number their channels
Verizon needs to know that the availability of FSC on HD is very important to soccer fans customers. Some of us are prepared to ditch Verizon for dish network who currently carries FSC in HD.
MSG HD is more Cablevision's owner freezing out competitors in HD.
I wish we could get a definitive answer answer about when FSC HD is coming or if at all. The guys on Twitter says it is but has no timetable which is silly at this point. Somebody give us some answers.

No its not my tv, Its a byproduct of video resizing. When you "squish" an HD feed to SD you get a lot of jagged edges if you use a cheap fast resizing filter. Its called aliasing. I wouldnt be complaining here if it was my tv. If you watched the channel you'd see what im talking about as its very distracting.
I'm with Darn. The PQ on FSC SD is sad. I often and suggest folks switch over to FSE (Fox Sports en Espanol - channel 311) when they are covering the same match. If you change the audio to Spanish you'll get the English commentary with much better PQ. I made a comment about this to the twitter guy over a week ago but he did not respond 😕
Is FSC HD really HD or just upconverted SD. The reason I ask is because ESPN2 HD broadcasts of Premier League games appear to be up converted SD. Closeups look fine, but wide angle shots of the whole pitch are not near as clear as HD should be.

still no FSCHD but VZ has no problem wasting precious space with ESPN Goal Line, I mean VZ Help on 571. What a joke. I just tweeted the following to the FiOSTV twitter guy:

Why add ESPNGL for a sport that's on 1 day a week, 17 weeks out of the year? THIS SUCKs. (why is my font so big i cant change it sorry) 🙂

for a "cutting edge" service like FiOS, it seems like we are late to the party ALL the time. with the ever-growing popularity of this sport, it makes perfect business sense to broadcast these channels in their available HD format. I can guarantee that you will win many new subscribers based on these 2 channels alone.

As a soccer lover for many yrs I subscribed to Dishnetwork many yrs ago because at that time anything that was not of the norm was available on Dish Like FOX sports espanol, it was'nt until a good while after that they were available to other carriers.
My Son just moved out into his own condo and decided to do someshopping around to see what was availableas far as scoccer channels.. In my area we have DISH, DIRECTV, FIOS and Brighthouse.. This time we were not going to use satellite, his option was only Brighthouse because thats was what was available in his condo even though the fios cable runs outsidethe front of the Condos.
Well he signed up for brighthouse and he is quite happy with his choice of channe for soccer and whatever else was offfered.
Espn Deportes FSc espanl, Gol, FSC and FSC+ the three main ones of interest was FSC and FSC and GOL which I believe are all In HD.
Since I have no contract I went with FIOS instead with the same number of channels. I am thinking that the selling point that Verizon states for FIOS its it unlimited Bandwith and their ability to add these channels in HD. Well My son keeps telling me not to hold my breath but I give them till Xmas to have at least these 3 in Hd........I have a 61 inch DLP which is 720. it shows very good HD but SD channels are really not so good.
So untill XMAS then, when I hope to SEE my Tottenham Hotspurs in Champions league in HD 🙂
This request had been beaten like a dead horse. Pardon the expression. Verizon has wanted to add this channel in HD, and still can not get it because of the owners. This comes up when you search FSC HD FCC. It has been discussed in depth many times. Asking and asking will get you nowhere. The US gov. will not even enforce their immigration laws, do you really think the FCC will do the right thing?

If Verizon can't provide FSC & FSC Plus in HD, I too am going to start looking for a provider who can. It seems ridiculous that a self-proclaimed leader in the field can't make it happen. The fact that ESPN provides a match/week in HD should show Verizon that it's worth doing as the support certainly seems to be there. It's ridiculous to watch matches on the FSC channels in "lo-fi" while the HD logo is prominently displayed.
