Who really cares about these channels anyway? It's a waste of space. I don't think this comedy.tv is the HD version of Comedy Central.  Where's Spike? NASA? Cartoon Network and the real Comedy Central?

I noticed 4 of them here in Baltimore:
ES.tv
Pets.tv
Mydestin.tv
Receipes.tv

However, when I went these channels, I got a message on the screen that read, "You are not subscribed to this service, press OK to subscribe". I contacted VZ to ask about it, and the technician said that he could NOT find those channels in their database for the channel lineup in my area. He tried to "push" a signal to my box, but to no avail. He then sent me over to the billing department.

The rep then said that these new channels should be included for free with Extreme HD package (which I have). However, they are probably not completely ready for the roll out yet, so I was told to just keep checking later this week, and if they are not there, then to call back.

I then tried to press the OK button as the screen indicated, but then it just that it was unavailable.

Yeah, they are still in the middle of provisioning the channels in your video hub offices (VHOs).  Please don't call about them yet.

As of this second they are slotted for:

ES.TV - 558

Recipe.TV - 676

MyDestination.TV - 674

Pets.TV - 633

It's looking like they will be apart of FIOS TV EXTREME HD package.

And from what I'm hearing about the content (or lack of) Verizon will be the last and only one to carry them Smiley Tongue .  Don't know for sure as they haven't shown up here yet - and I'm not holding my breath waiting for them.

These channels really are a disappointment. Each channel has anywhere from two to four 30 minute programs on each day and they are repeated throughout the day. The next day's new shows start at 6AM and again are repeated on and on and on....

I have to agree, these new .tv channels are no big deal. In fact I am rather disappointed, I would really rather see them add Comedy Central HD, Spike HD, Cartoon Central HD or AMC HD than these wastes of an HD slot channels. And that goes for the YES network as well.

Please don't make the mistake of thinking Comedy.tv is the same Comedy Central HD, they could not be more different. Be ready to be disappointed by these .TV channels.

Rumored to come to VHO8 Monday (Philly, N. Delaware and S. Jersey).

Personally, I don't care if they never show up based on the reports of the lack of content - just a waste of bandwidth.  Much rather see the Viacom HD channels added.

I must admit that the 1 program per channel approach is unique.  Stupid, but unique.
