I have an area that I am setting up for grandkids to relax and I need help in connecting the subject equipment together. If there is someone who is experienced with setting up different configurations, I would appreciate any help. I can get the cable sound coming through my speakers but no video.

If you have sounds coming out of your Pioneer speakers, then your audio connection is correct. You need to have another cord for a video connection going from the 2500 to your TV. The most common connections are a yellow composite cable or a coaxial cord. Once its physically connection, you need to change your TV's input to match whatever cord you used.

Sometimes in a situation like this a picture is a valuable tool. There are many websites that offer wiring diagrams, and here is one to start with:
http://www.diyaudioandvideo.com/TV/Wiring/
It shows the types of cabling available as well as a menu that lets you select individual components for hook-up. Good luck.
