Keep Fox25!

I just learned that Fios may be dropping Fox25 from the lineup after Thankgsiving.

I watch many shows on Fox (I'm watching the Patriots right now!)  and if Fox25 is dropped, I will have no other choice but to drop FIOS and change providers.

I've been happy with FIOS, so I don't want to leave,  but for the amount of money I give Verizon each month, I expect to be able to watch all my local broadcast network stations.

Keep Fox25 in the lineup!

Yes, I just saw this, too. I hope Verizon will work out a deal with Fox 25.  Otherwise, they have changed the conditions under which I signed the conract of service - effectively cancelling our contract.

It'll make me reconsider what I've been considering for some time - no more cable at all.  Using over-the-air will at least get me Patriots games.

I can't believe that Verizon FIOS would even think of dropping Fox25. If it can run shows like "Okie Cooking" (ok, so I am being facetious, unless that REALLY is a show), then why drop a mainstream channel? It may be my misunderstanding, but what happened to the FCC rule mandating local channels? Obviously, that's out the window.

With all the content I watch on Fox25, it's absence may cause another - mine from FIOS.

Look, I have enough trouble with Verizon's FIOS service and have multiple cable options so that switching is an option for me. But I felt haviing fiber to the house was an advantage. I may find out.if I was right. However, for the size of my bill, I expect it to have all local channels.

Keep Fox25!

I dont like the way Verizon is handling this situation with Fox.  They send me an email saying that Fox decided to take themselves off the FIOS programming.  Seriously.  This is a clear dispute between two corporate entitites and I find it disingenuous that Verizon is indicating it was Fox decision.   We all know they have been in discussions for a while and there are two sides to each story.   Just find the resolution with Fox, allow us customers to keep the Fox channel and move on.   We all know Verizon makes enough money off of us "bundled" families.   I am disappointed and if they dont find resolution, I would consider moving from Verizon.

We're all pawns in a dispute between two corporate giants.  It really doesn't matter which one is at fault.  They'll both end up getting basically what they want.   Given the amount of money I send Verizon each month for mobile, home, internet and TV I am not happy being used for pawn and not getting the level of service I am paying.  I get a couple hundred channels and watch less than 20 of them.  FOX 25 is one of the more watched channels in my house. It appears to me my choice is to change my viewing habits or change my TV provider.

The other thing I notice is that Verizon is not really allow us customers to give them direct feedback.  How can we send a direct email to Verizon so that it registers with the executives making these decisions.   Sometimes I think these forums are just a way for Verizon to avoid taking direct feedback from its customers.

Before changing to VERIZON FIOS, I ensured that the Channel Line-up that I enjoy was part of the Line-up of the package and FOX 25 was and is available.,  Now I find out that Verizon is going to DROP FOX 25 from the channels I have available to me.  I then was informed that they were going to charge me $150 for dropping Verizon and going to a different carrier for Breach of Contract.  I was informed that I had a 2 year contract.

I must wonder if I had a contract then Does VERIZON have to honor the contract with me for the Channel Line-Up that I signed up with that they no longer are going to Offer?

Customer Service can not even tell me WHY they are not going to offer it anymore.  It has to be

MONEY

POLITICS

Money - Verizon/FOX is not willing to pay/accept  the Fair Market Value

Politics - DEMOCRATS / Money Controllers are upset about the Mid-Term Elections

I think the thing to do is KEEP FOX

I also picked a plan based on the channels offered.  Since that time 4 channels have been dropped.  They want to charge me 150 to drop them for breach of contract???????  Where is there breach of contract???  They offered a service and now keep changing said service!  As soon as I can drop them I will and I do NOT want to.  I hated Comcast but at least they didnt pull this dropping of channels like Fios is!  I am so not happy about this at all!

Only $150?  Seriously, I'm paying $170 per month (internet/cable/phone) so that isn't even a month of service, not to mention they jacked up my bill $40 a month when I signed the new contract and that wasn't clear when I renewed it.  I'm not paying $170 a month and not get one of the two channels I watch.

If Verizon drops Fox, I can go to RCN or Comcast and easily save more than $150 with the new provider deals they offer since my house is wired for all of them.

Verizon - some of us have other choices.  I basically watch 2 channels because most of the rest is garbage.  One of those channels is Fox.  If you get rid of it, I think it's time to seriously consider getting rid of Verizon.

I'm tired of this garbage with cable companies.    They think they control everything and ultimately they will cease to exist once everyone leaves because there are so many other options.

There is no reason to drop Fox 25. People love all the programs that Fox 25 have. If you need to drop a station drop WBIN 18. That staion is in NH and they already have WMUR? I am a retired employee from Verizon and i feel that dropping Fox 25 is just unfair. Thanks Eilee

What is the deal with this?  DISH dumps CNN and now potentially this?  Mid-football season they want to dump this channel?  And for what?  We pay a ransom every month for a deluge of lame channels so we can have the few we want -- like Fox25.

Come on Verizon.

PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KEEP FOX25....I HAVE CALLED VERIZON TWICE IN THE LAST WEEK REGARDING FOX NOTICES SAYING FIOS WILL NOT NEGOTIATE AND SERVICE WILL END THANKSGIVING DAY.  BOTH TIMES I WAS ASSURED BY VERIZON FIOS CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT THIS WAS NOT THE CASE AND THAT THIS CHANNEL WOULD CONTINUE. WELL GUESS WHAT...IT IS THANKS GIVING MORNING AND ALTHOUGH CHANNEL 8 ON FIOS, WHICH IS ASSIGNED TO FOX 25 IS ON...IT IS A STREAMING FIOS AD/ANNOUNCEMENT SAYING COX/FOX25 IS ASKING TOO MUCH MONEY....I DO NOT LIKE BEING USED!!!!  I HAVE RECENTLY AGREED TO A TWO YEAR CONTRACT WITH FIOS WITH THIS CHANNEL AS PART OF MY AGREEMENT...THEREFORE I WOULD LIKE THE SERVICE CONTRACTED!!!  i CAN NOT "BE A LOYAL VERIZON CUSTOMER" IF THIS IS NOT RECTIFIED IMMEDIATELY!!!! HOW LONG ARE WE TO BE VICTIMS OF THIS NEGOTIATION...AND HOW MUCH WILL VERIZON PAY FOR LOSS OF SERVICE DELIVERY AND...LOSS OF CUSTOMERS BEFORE COMPLETING NEGOTIATIONS WITH COX/FOX25?
