You may have heard that Verizon is forcing everyone to get a new set top box system soon. That includes a new DVR. Which means the old DVR is going away.
The Verizon rep we spoke with confirmed that all the content we have on the current DVR will be lost forever once this switch happens. We don't want that! What can we do to preserve the content on our DVR?

No, just there is no solution for your problem. Unfortunately the DVR on the older boxes uses a hard drive built into the box. When you upgrade, that drive goes with the box. You can't remove it and Verizon can't repopulate a new disk with your old programs.
