Month-Long TV Outage?

My stb has been working only intermittently lately. It's an old Cisco, and now (July 6, 2024) all channels display "you are not subscribed." After hours of troubleshooting and scouring the web and messages from Verizon, I found that: a) my stb may stop working around August 23, 2024; b) a new box should have already been shipped to me weeks ago; and c) this status...
This would be nearly 30 days of outage in a major metropolitan area with no one yet diagnosing the issue! Can this be correct? It certainly seems accurate for me and a few others in my area. Is anyone else in the Baltimore/Washington area experiencing this, and have you resolved your issue?

Have you checked a Fios outage map to see if they really are aware of the problems?

Thanks, clem21. The FIOS outage map reported no outages, and my internet and phone were working normally. The only outage report I could find was the one I shared from auto chat. My stb thankfully started working again this afternoon (July 7th), but that's happened before. I'll post again if/when this issue returns before I can watch everything saved to my old DVR and get new equipment from Verizon before August 23rd. I posted this to see if anyone else was having the same issue (premature Verizon action?) and as a warning to those who haven't seen notifications about upgrading old equipment.

An update for those of you, like me, who are not receiving information regarding updating their old Cisco equipment... As of July 11th, it seems that unplugging my Cisco stb from the power supply disconnects it from the network. When I plug it back in, I need to run the on-screen reset process and wait several hours for it to be reauthorized. There's no real confirmation of success--I simply turn it off and hope for the best. And my replacement Arris equipment arrived 2 days ago without needing to order it. I won't connect it until I finish watching my old recordings, though.

I'm in the Hampton Roads VA area with a similar problem. My STB won't power off unless I manually disconnect it. It has been displaying "unable to find network connection" and will go no further when I try the online troubleshooting/reboot. When I go into the chat, I get the same message you're getting. I've been at this for a week and keep getting that same screen.
