I just got into the NBA.com website and noticed that starting today, you can order the NBA League Pass from Verizon FIOS. This is what I have been waiting for since last year.

I have the HD Extreme package so that means I should have NBA TV -- however, I still don't see it in my channel listings.
When is it going live???

If you do not see the channel yet on your TV, please do not call in. Some of our Video Hub offices do not have to provisioned yet. Everyone should see this channel "live" by Oct 5th. Sorry about the confusion folks.

can someone with some knowledge please explain to me why verizon is telling me i need to subscribe to the sports package for nba tv? it has nba tv clearly on the channel lineup (for the extreme hd plan) on the verizon website and it also said on nba.com that it would be available for everyone on the extreme hd plan. as much as i love fios im getting a little frustrated with this and not having msg in hd. i can understand the msg situation but this nba tv problem needs to be cleared up asap. im a big basketball guy and i dealt with no msg hd / nba tv last year but my contract is up in early november and this nba tv thing is gonna be a deal breaker for me...

I did subscribed to the NBA League Pass and FIOS customers are eligible to get the NBA League Pass Broadband too(free). I went to the NBA.com website and there is a process to get access. I think Verizon will give us an access code to register on-line to access the NBA LP Broadband. There is a section on the NBA website - FAQ on how to get access to the NBA Broadband.
I hope we (subscribers to the NBA LP) are informed soon on how to access the NBA LP Broadband.
To get a schedule of games on the NBA League Pass, you can also go to INDEMAND.com.
I am just glad that Verizon will have the NBA channel and the NBA League Pass.

I subscribed to the League pass but the screen is still saying that I need to subscribe to the channel... is this normal or should I call in and get it looked at? Someone who has subscribed to this package please tell me what happens when you select one of the channels

It is normal to have the blue screen or blank on the NAB LAP channels, the NAB LAP will only show the regular season games. Also go the the indemand.com for the scheduled games in your area. If the channels are blank when the season starts, then I would call. This is my first time to the NAB LAP. I do not know how Verizon will give us an access code to the NAB LAP Broadband via the internet. This is also included in the NAB LAP package deal. Can not wait until next week.
I just hope that I do not have to call Verizon because the games are not on the NAB LAP channels.

Can anyone from Verizon let us know when we should expect access to NBA LP Broadband? I know that as a subscriber to the TV package we get broadband as well but I haven't seen any access codes yet and when we try to register through the NBA site we don't seem to have the ability to put "Verizon" as our TV provider....any ideas?
Also -- any chance more HD channels come? I know DirectTV has every game in HD and I know that indemand didn't really offer much more than 1 at a time (a few years back), is this still the case?

To get the NBA LP Broadband, you need to set-up or create an account at the NBA web-site. Click on the NBA LP Broadband and log-in and set up an account. During the process, you need to select your cable provider and Verizon was not listed at that time. I used the chat line customer support and was told that I needed to give them a copy of the Verizon billing statement showing the paid subscription to the NBA LP. It will be sometime in the middle of November when I will get my next billing statement and then I will be able to get the NBA LP Broadband.
I have been able to watch a game on the NBA LP Broadband during the promotional period. It was good.
Here in Dallas area, we only get one HD channel from the NBA LP, the rest of the channels do not look too good. Most of the games on the Non-HD channels do not look clear or sharp. I wonder if it is the transmission source or what. I just wished the channels would look clear, like the channels from 1600 to 1700 range. Those channels look sharp. Digital????
