Verizon has been telling us that BBC America is next on the list - for 2 years in a row. Don't hold your breath. I left TW expecting that some of the HD channels I left behind would be added soon; but nooooooo.

I would love to see the real BBC. A subscription plan would be nice.

DISH did not cave into Disney's demands and currently is not able to offer the Disney Channel, et.
Verizon and TW caved in immediately.

Let me see Dish provide a 150/35 down and uplink. I don't think they can stretch fiber that far.

DISH Network is primarily a video content provider.
In an effort to maintain its competitive edge, DISH Networt has espoused itself to several broad band data provider's so that a Triple Play package can be supplied to customers demanding exceptional international high definition video content.
Among all tetelevision subscriber based video content providers(Cablevision, Dish Network, Comcast, TimeWarner, and etcetera) VERIZON FiOS offers the least high definition channels.
I truly regret signing a two year contract!

You might want to actually check your facts first, with regards to Verizon offering the fewest HD channels. They may not have the ones you want - and there are certainly plenty of channels they could add - but they offer more HD than Dish, Comcast, TWC and Cablevision. If you want to peruse the offerings, follow the link:

Regretfully, a few days subsequent to signing a two year contractual agreement I did take the initiative to educate myself by contrasting VERIZON FiOS' high definition video content offerings. I have carefully examined my facts!
Furthermore, you are absolutely correct; the channels my family does truly cherish (Disney Jr, Nick Jr, Turner Classic Movies and etcetera) are absolutely not offered in HD on the FiOS line up.
Standard 4X3 480P video is simply unacceptable when viewing a 4K television.
I truly regret signing a two year contract.

Note although probably not the channels you want, 2013 has been a year where FIOS has added a fairly large number of HD channels.

Look, I'm not trying to be a wiseguy, but why didn't you check the channel lineup to make sure it had the HD offerings you wanted before making the switch? (I think that's a fair question, no? ๐ )

That is a completely FALSE statement.

Or when pigs fly. (Though I'm willing to bet they'll add yet another sports channel before that.)

Great Disney!! Where kids make tons of money for the people that exploit them, and show little about the real world. You can tell I am not a fan. HD2 would be much better. But I have been waiting for BBC America for a very long time! Comcast has BBC America in HD, and since Verizon has been sucking up to them so much, you would think we would have it too.

So the next HD channel to be added is a Disney channel, well to quote the Churchlady "ISN'T THAT SPECIAL"!!!!!!!!! Gee, still NO BBCA-HD or Cartoon-HD amazing. Comcast has them now, as much as I hate to say it (because I do dislike Comcast), my contract ends in October, I'll really have to weigh my options then.
Also just more proof that all this VOTING nonsense the Mods keep pushing is an utter waste of time. I do believe BBCA-HD is up to almost 350 votes. Obviously those votes mean nothing.

What I have read on the net, Disney has forced this on the cable/dish providers to add this new network as a condition of their continuing to carry other HD networks under Disney corporate control. Seems like it is time for Justice to look into this as an Anti-Trust violation. I will be filing my complaint with the Justice Department next week.

Or just drop Disney for a while like they did Fox networks. See where that gets Mickey really Goofey!!
