Hi all,
I've been using FIOS TV for about 9 months now and I recently decided to switch to an HD DVR STB + Quantum Internet upgrade over the 50/50 that I had been using.
The new STB arrived in the mail today and I (ignorantly) assumed that I possessed the tech acumen to set everything up on my own. The new network is up and running just fine, but when I try to run the activation of the STB I'm receiving an "Auto Activation Failed" message, and I'm prompted to to call 1-866-962-1946 (a number that is no longer in service) and enter quick code "8310".
I couldn't find any literature on what this error code meant and I was hoping someone would be able to advise, thanks!

What model stb did you have before and what did you get?
If you had a 72xx model and upgraded to quantum, you need to make sure that you remove the old one before using the new one. Try starting from scratch.
Power everything off. Turn router on first.
Then new stub.

I previously had two QIP 7100 boxes in my apartment, neither of which are now connected to my coax cables. I'll attempt to start everything from scratch. It may be important to note that I previously ran a MI 424 router and I now have a G1100, but maybe not.

Bring up the the router first
The VMS needs a better signal than the older boxes.
So make sure it is one a good coax connection.
I assume you also got an IPC.
If so, connect and power it up last.
