I just got the new stb and remote control to replace my old ones. I have my stb linked to my Onkyo receiver via HDMI. The Onkyo is connected to the TV.
My old remote was set up by the installer. It would turn on the stb and the receiver (but not the TV). The volume +/- button would control the volume on the receiver, which is what I want. The new remote controls the volume on the TV. Does anyone know how to train the remote to talk to the receiver?

If you still have the old remote, you will be able to use it with the new STB as the box codes remain the same. The added benefit to you is that it is already setup to work the way you want. Concerning the new remotes, they only have the ability to control the STB and a TV; there is no longer functionality to control stereo/audio components. I apologize for any trouble this may cause.
