I have tried to deal with the new VOD menu and I have absolutely had it!! I'm considering switching to Optimum. I would much prefer to scroll down a list and be able to read a short synopsis without having to click on an image for each title to let a description load. It is abso-freaking-lutely intolerable! Why pray tell, do I have to pay for older epiodes of shows that used to be included in my already exorbinate monthly charges!?

You would think by now Verizon would have changed the VOD menu to provide a list option versus these stupid ICONS that you need to scroll through to find what you want. Whats worse is you cannot even scroll by page it's one icon at a time aligned in two rows not to mention the icons that show NA. Any programmer worth their salt would realize this is the most idiotic application anyone would develope. Get this straight people a TV is not a phone and quit trying to adapt phone technologies to a TV. Obviously the CEO's and upper management do not use this stuff otherwise they would know how much of a pain they have caused. My guess the people from Time Warner left and were hired to provide new menus for VOD. As many have complained here give us the old menu list back or at least give us an option to change the way we view VOD. Given the amount of money you charge for this service I'm sure you can find a programmer who can do it.

The people at verizon can justify the new on demand menu all they want but it is horrible and tought to navigate. Yesterday we wanted to rent a movie and couldn't find it. HEY VERIZON THERE IS A REASON I PAY $240 A MONTH FOR FIOS AND NOT $12 A MONTH FOR NETFLIX. If this new menu is your idea of an upgrade you should be fired. BRing back the old easy to use menu!

The new on-demand menus are completely awful. This has to be fixed. Navigating the menus is ridiculously long and all the images are a waste of bandwidth. What's worse is that, once you've scrolled all the way to your show, there's a good chance it won't work. I've used on-demand very often since the changeover, but the few times I have, I've been unable to watch a show. Either the show episodes didn't appear, or if it did, the link wouldn't work when clicking ok. Horrible.

You need to consider going back to the old menu setup. It is easy to while away a half hour scrolling through an endless labyrinth of movie posters. Before you could move quickly through a simple list of titles and click on the one that interested you. Now it is set up like a maze and very time consuming and difficult to use. I have given it plenty of time to adjust to it but it is just a uselessly difficult tool. Maybe you think it looks prettier but to an end user it is a royal pain. Please fix it or junk it.

The new On Demand menu is HORRIBLE. Whatever possessed Verizon to change the on demand menu to what they did. The lettering is too small making it hard to read and harder to navigate. It takes me longer to find what I want to watch. It's REALLY REALLY HORRIBLE and I want to let Verizon know this and ask them to change it back.

Agree 100% that the new interface is terrible. Much slower and more complicated than it needs to be. Bring back the old style.

I do not like the new format of the OnDemand for two reasons:
- Showing just the cover image for the video gives little information on what the movie is about. I prefered the older version where there was a listing showing the video image and a brief synopsis of the movie. I know I can hit INFO and get the same information, but that takes a lot of time to go through a bunch of videos.
- Foreign Language videos, don't like them mixed in with English language videos. A couple times I did not find out that the movie was in Spanish / French until I started the video. An option to filter out foreign languages from the listings, or a separate, top-level menu to select language would make for a better experience. Especially for videos which do not come with English subtitles.

We hate the new format for OnDemand! Not to mention, there seems to be a big reduction amount of televisions shows! Also...why are they charging for tv shows that have already been on tv? If I am out and miss a show I certainly should not have to pay to watch it.

I agree with others regarding the new VOD menu - it is very hard to navigate.
Also, the one thing that really annoys me is the fact that we now have to pay for
shows on regular broadcast channels - $1.99 for a CBS show? That is total
highway robbery especially since I have the high priced package. Did Verizon even notify users that the VOD would now include additional charges?

What Verizon did was combine shows that had a fee with the free ones.
And fees come from content providers.
Not surprising that CBS is charging as a way to get people to pay for their streaming service.

I had been back and forth on the phone with verizon for over a week. After going through 3 reps who told me " I " was wrong... being persistent and demanding to speak to a manager, I was told... "we are aware of the problems ESPECIALLY with being asked to pay for shows you are already subscribed to. This is AFTER i had those 3 reps repeating the same things over and over saying "some providers make you pay for shows if you are not subscribed".. Im not sure what part of " I AM SUBSCRIBED" they didn't understand. In any event, i was told it would be resolved in 72 hours. So...obviously it was not. I called again this past Saturday, 2/18/17, and I was told that verizon is in the process of fixing it all... They will be rolling out another new system (or system fix) in the first week of March and this "should" correct the issues especially pertaining to the asinine issue (they think they are slick and no one will notice) of being asked to pay $1.99 per episode. (( One rep even tried to **bleep** me saying "well you may have to pay for very old episodes".. umm.. a show that aired 2 weeks ago...is NOT old. No one could answer my questions as to why one day.. its free.. new roll-out, it's "pay to play"... So, my best advice (At least from what I was told).. sit tight as in March its supposed to roll-out again... But in the meantime.. no matter how much of a pain in the butt it is... you have to call and complain and demand to speak to a manager, and the complaints department.. The more people that are not deterred from going up the chain and who aren't giving up (because thats what they count on .. people getting frustrated and just giving up).. The more complaints will be logged.. and the more threatened they will feel to fix the problem before losing customer base. I just find it so funny how all these companies screw up BIG TIME.. and everything is hush hush... I love how one rep said to me "oh this is the first we have ever heard about it".. And i politely said.. maybe you should read the forums, or ask for proper training!.. Wake up Verizon.. there is alot of competition out there and new ways for people to save money with less hassle!!

I couldn't agree more! An absolute terrible new format. I do have a question. I've tried a number of times to call in a complaint, but was unable to reach an appropriate party. The best I could do that enabled me to speak to a person (rather than their exasperating automated attendant) was a tech support fellow. While very polite and willing to pass my concerns up the line, he was the correct to bent my frustration on. If you have a number it would be of great help. Thanks.

When searching for on demand movies on premium channals is there a way to get the list view like before. I hate the new format, take way to long.

I too dislike the new VOD menus. I noticed Cinemax you can no longer select "New Arrivals" so I have to flip through 300 plus movies and hope to notice a new one. Waste or time. It's not as easy to flip through as it was before. I prefer a title list over seeing a cover to a movie. I hope they change this

Scanning premium channels for movies is terrible. The poster view is great for folks that prefer to spend more time searching for a movie than watching one. Preferably a list format that you could scroll through quickly and see brief description of film, year, and actors would be a fantastic option for me. Keep it simple and fast.

This new OnDemand menu is horrible! I cannot find anything. Everything is represented by huge "icons" that often don't even have the title unless you scroll to it. It is slow, cumbersome, limited, and horribly arranged. The remotes are not durable enough for the amount of button pressing needed to scroll through the entire catalogue just to find one program. Maybe (and that's a BIG maybe), maybe this might have some usefulness if you know exactly what you want to see and can use the arcane letter-by-letter search, but even then it's maddeningly tedious. Premium networks and the TV/Movie industry should be notified that many of its programs and movies are going unseen simply because customers are too frustrated with a clumsy menu system and give up. This is by far the worst cable "on demand" system I have seen. It's even worse than Comcast's. It's a total and complete failure.
