My two cents about the new VOD menu: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
The new VOD menu is slower to load, doesn't navigate as efficiently (can't "page up" or "page down" while navigating vertically), doesn't account for difficulty in information processing with images as opposed to text, and has no option for switching to prior VOD menu. These are just some of the issues. All of this begs the question: who user tested this? Where was QA? Why does Verizon want to frustrate an established consumer base? Who is at the helm of this mess of an "upgrade"?

Who is the **bleep** that thought this horrible difficult to manuver format was better than the old one? The old format was simple. Titles, channels, shows were easy to find. I can''t find anything on this new format and haven't watched anything on demand since they changed it. BECAUSE I CAN'T FIND WHAT I WANT TO WATCH!!! I have to go through tons of pictures. Pictures. Really? We aren't children. We know how to read. Of course Verizon Fios doesn't care. They are still getting our money for horrible service.

If you know what you are looking for, the search feature still works well.

I get maybe an hour a day to watch programming I want to watch and now I get to spend that hour just trying to read the **bleep** menu and now episodes that were free a month ago are randomly being charged? Including premium subscription shows I am already paying extra for? ...getting rid of your service as soon as possible.

New On Demand Format is absolutely terrible - agreed. It would seem the recent series of 'changes' (not upgrades) are actually an attempt to free resources on teh set tob box for 'other' uses. The playback enu changes made end of last year are not logicaly thought out/presented, but probabaly represent serious cpu savings under the covers. The On Demand format changes from text to 'pictures' represents another set tob box saving in the cache, since every time you press for a new panel of selections it appears the box is actually going back to the FIOS server to get those pictures - hence the long wait. The other reason for this tactic could be to frustrate you so bad, that you'll pay the premium price to see a new movie as soon as you see it on your typical tv channel scroll.....This series of changes is not for your benefit, its for the home office. Complain loud and clear by jumping to another provider..... look at whats happening to ESPN as its being abandoned by the 10's of thousands every week.....I'm getting more and more into my Apple TV, actually considering dropping FIOS after this stunt.

The menu sucks big time, but what's even worse is now they are charging you for past episodes and blaming the networks!
Premium channels I subscribe to now charge me.
Are you kidding?
PS The push for buying things is also royally annoying.
FIOS service that I've always loved for at least the past 8 years is close to losing me.

I'm not sure that anyone who actually uses ondemand was involved in the testing of the new format.
It takes far too many clicks to find a channel you want.
If you want to watch a movie but aren't sure which one you have to scroll and scroll and scroll from left to right. If you want to search a different category you have to scroll and scroll and scroll all the way back to the left before you can pick a new one.
Want it to watch a free movie on HDNet instead of TBS? No dice. All the free movies are lumped together. So you don't know which are commercial free or uncut. The same scrolling nonsense applies.
Ugh!!
Bring back the old on demand!!!

Hate the new menu. Impossible to find my shows without searching. None of them in alphabetical order. Ridiculous

The new on-demand interface is nearly unusable -- scrolling through the offerings so clumsy, slow, and counter-intuitive that it's useless.

The new VOD menus are terrible. It takes far more clicks to find anything. They should allow people to switch back to the old menu. If they can't do that, I suggest:
1. Switch from pictures to show titles, or at least have the option, so we can see more per page.
2. Allow users to see what episodes are available before clicking on the show, just by scrolling to the show..
3. Bring back the page up/down funtionality that you used to get when clicking channel buttons.

I hate the new on demand. It is cumbersome to use & much harder. My screen frequently freezes sunce this upgrade & the solution is to exit & start again. Not sure what erizon was thinking when they made this change.
Would love to have the previos On
Demand menu back.

I do not like the new "on demand" format and why are some stations charging to watch their programs on " on demand"?

I agrree the new TV listing is the worst possible menu. You have to look at pictures of movies you watched 20 years ago.
change it NOW or ill go to comcast

Verizon recently updated the DVR Guide and I think it is absolutely awful. To get to a show or movie you want you have to slowly scroll through pictures alphabetically, which takes forever. Much more difficult than the previous format. Does anyone agree?

The new on demand menu is horrible and looking over some of the comments many people feel the same way I do. Please change to back to what it was.

I couldn't agree more. The new menu stinks. It's dark and depressing, difficult to navigate, slow and cumbersome. Why did they have to "fix" or change something that wasn't broken??? Verizon should give their customers the option to keep the original menu. With the exhorbitant amounts of money they charge to give us one of the worst services and channel lineup around, and a customer service that requires hours on the phone trying to get an answer to your questions or requests from different and ignorant employees - if you are lucky - they should make it easier and not worse. For some time I've thinking to switch to another provider more customer friendly, and this is probably one of the reasons why I should do it.

Regarding the new menu for On demand progams, absolutely terrible.
Firstly the menu is tiny even when highlighted,
Second it seems to take forever to scroll what you want and then it takes time to get the episode you want.
May I ask why did you change, the old addage, if it's not broke don't fix it and if you do fix it to the advantage to the customer.
Please either go back.

This new menu is a total disappointment and a frustration to use. Who wants to scroll endlessly through graphics of movies?? I just want to list and choose without wasting time. Switching to Comcast when contract is up.

On Demand menus much harder to use.
Most technologies companies put nw interfaces in front of user design feedback panels to test for usability before rolling out to all their customers. Clearly, the FIOS user design team does not do this!!
