Launched Amazon prime successfully but when launching selection, only the audio is given with a black screen. The movie is not displayed at all.

You may be watching a 4K show, but your Fios box is set up to display only 1080 resolution. First make sure the TV is capable of displaying 4K content. If it is, then go here and enable 4K:
Main Menu > Settings > Audio & Video > Video Settings>Video Format.
