I have a QIP7216 and the power supply fan gets noisy sometimes. It is definitely not the hard drive because when I pick up the STB and move it around the noise changes.
It’s mildly annoying at this point because I can disconnect the STB from the power, leave it off for a minute or two, plug it back it, and the noise goes away for a while.
Does anyone else have this issue?
Is your DVR well venthilated? If it is overheating it may be the reaon the fan runs so high. Are you still having this issue?
