I'm trying to watch a show on demand but it keeps going dark. It only comes on for commercials

Try running this and see if it helps:

Main Menu > Customer Support > Top Support Tools > Fix Fios TV Issues

If not pull power to the DVR, wait 3 minutes and plug it back in.
