Decades is gone from FIOS, at least in the Philadelphia area. The channel was provided as an over the air sub-channel or the CBS station. Now, it's a sub-channel of ME-TV's affiliate but Verizon doesn't carry it. They do carry ME and other sub-channels, just not Decades. Bring it back.

Local stations have 2 options:
1) They can invoke must carry. This allows them to specify the channel number and it must be carried. But they don't get paid for their content
2) Negotiate for carriage. This is what most if the larger stations do. They negotiate with cable providers as to what channel number, how much they will be paid (this is where local broadcast fees go) and what content will be carried.

I believe that VERIZON should carry all available channels. Why does this company continually make the arbitrary decision to pull channels in the first place? Is it politics; ratings, or are they just mean and inconsiderate?
Every subscriber should have the right to view all Channels and that is the service that Verizon should be happy to provide.

Decades is a sub channel to over the air stations.
They are not carried on just cable companies.
Is Decades carried by a local over the air station near you?
If not, then Verizon is not able to carry it.

In NYC, Decades IS carried by a local OTA station, so I’m not sure why FiOS doesn’t carry it.
On Decades’ site, it says that it’s coming soon, and to check back for a channel number. Problem is that they’ve been saying this for at least a year.

Verizon and the host station (decades is a sub channel) have to come to a carriage agreement.
Have you reached out to the main station for their take?
