Poor Quality on Startup

When I first start Verizon Fios on my tv, the signal is very poor, and the picture and sound a nearly unbearable. This lasts for about 60 seconds. This doesn’t happen with other devices (game systems) or Netflix box, only with the Verizon set too box. Is it possible my set top box is going out? Has anyone else experienced this “warm up” period? How do I go about requesting a replacement set top box?

Is your Set Top Box  ON all the time ?
