Make sure the Verizon Provided Router (Actiontec or Westell) is on and connected via COAX or Cat5 to the ONT box. The Verizon Provided Router needs Internet connectivity in order to provide program guides and Video on Demand as this information is pulled from the Verizon Network via the Internet Connection.
I can't get any program descriptions. I've tried unplugging the box an plugging back in with no luck.
Try running the system diagnostics from the help menu on the STB. Verify that you have both LAN and WAN connectivity as these are needed to get guide info. If not (as was suggested) make sure the Verizon router is operating properly as this is how the IP information gets to your STB over the coax.
