Rebooting VMS4100

Just upgraded to the VMS4100 Fios One boxes.  Since there is no readout on the STB, how can you tell if the box is finished rebooting?  With the 1100 boxes you could track the progress on the display.

Problem solved.  Fios guy came and tightened some connections.  But interesting thing is twice already the channel changed automatically back to CNN.  Should I be concerned about this?

The VMS and mini STBs have two status LEDs on the front panel. The LEDs will blink and alternate between white, green & red during the reboot process.

Once there is a constant dimly lit LED, the reboot process should be completed.

What I do is keep my television turned on and just watch the graphics flash on the screen. 🙂

Thanks.  When turning it on, how do I get the last channel I watched the night before?  I can't seem to find the setting.

I think you have to enable this;

Main Menu > Guide > Settings > Last Viewed Guide State

Thank you.  Now if you could only tell me why channels 588 and 602 are not coming in.  They were both available with the old box.

I'm in the Boston area. Channel 588 is NFL Network (HD). Channel 602 is CNBC (HD). Both are visible on my television.

Are these the same channels in your area? 🤔
