Recurrent transmission problem with HBO

Over the last month or so I’ve noticed that there are random transmission errors with HBO, whereby the image on the screen goes white, then pixelates for a few seconds , and corrects itself. This occurs up to several times/hour, and I’ve also recorded the problem on the DVR. Rebooting the STB and ONT has no effect. As far as I can tell, only HBO is affected by this. Thoughts?

Does it do the same thing if you watch HBO from an app? Could be a bad tuner in the Fios box, or possibly a bad splitter if it affects any other channels. Could also be a bad feed to Verizon from HBO. Check with any neighbors and see if they are seeing the same thing.

No it doesn’t happen with the Max app, though I’m not watching live HBO feeds with the app.

I've been having literally the same exact thing happening to me for the last couple months. I've only noticed it on the HBO channels as well. I've been putting off calling tech support because I don't want to lose my DVR recordings by getting a new box. I've just been chalking it up to Verizon's HBO feed is bad and have been hoping they get it ironed out but I don't know how much longer I can hold out. I'll follow this thread and if I get it fixed I will post an update. Please let me know if you get it taken care of what the issue was.

Exact same problem here as well. My workaround is just to watch hbo programming on demand which doesn't seem to be affected. Or watch on MAX. I guess we have proven it's not our equipment but something wrong with the HBO feed. Mine has been doing it for many months.

Same exact problem here. I'm contacting them tomorrow and will post if I find out anything. I've been having the issue for many months so I just watch hbo on demand or Max which don't seem to be affected.

I reported this to Verizon today, They did all the troubleshooting on my system and everything was perfect so they are assuming this is an HBO issue and will be reporting it to them. Hopefully this will help but only time will tell.
